Any ideas for my 5yr olds birthday?

We will be travelling down to the mouse the last week in May and halfway through the vacation it will be my 5yr olds birthday. I was wondering if you have any ideas what we can do to make it nicer ie decorations in room and cake? We have planned to go to the Magic Kingdom that day but was wondering where I could pick him up or order him a cake. Have you decorated the room before? or do you have any ideas? Does Disney do anything like this? do they deliver cakes?

For decorating the room you could order something from Disney Floral & Gifts: http://www.disneyfloralandgifts.com/home.html I've ordered from them when my parents went to disney for their 40th anniversary and had a bag full of treats delivered to their room. I think they have birthday themed stuff and balloons. They deliver it to the front desk then the hotel staff brings it to your room. My parents came back from the park and it was in their room waiting. You could also bring decorations from home and decorate the room.

I also ordered them a cake. There are cake threads on here on the disney restaurant board with all the info and phone numbers. It depends on what resort you are staying at - some you can get the cake delivered to your room. I think that might only be the deluxe resorts but I may be wrong. But the table service restaurants you can get the cake delivered there to be served for dessert. The cake thread will tell you all the details. But for their anniversary I had a cake delivered to Narcoosee's to surprise them and their waiter brought it out for dessert. But you could order a birthday cake to be delivered to whichever restaurant you are eating at. They can do any disney theme cake - the cake thread has tons of pictures. If you didn't want to order one ahead of time you can ask the hostess for a cake and they bring a generic small cake I think for $20. The special order cakes can be pricey. Def check out that cake thread!

When you check in ask for a birthday button and he can wear that the whole stay - all the cast members will see it and wish him a happy birthday!
