Any ideas for Christmas present for a 9 yo girl?

I am at a loss. My niece is 9 and is definitely at that in between age. I still need to spend about $75 on her for Christmas and am out of ideas. So far I have a webkinz, tinkerbelle charm bracelet, and an i-tunes gift card. She already has an ipod and a personal DVD player. They don't own a game system so video games are not an option. I bought her a digital camera last year and scrap booking supplies. The only things on her list are low cost items or a computer (that's not going to happen). Her mom has no idea either. My kids are all much older so I'm out of the loop in what's popular with 9 year olds (she tends to be a bit immature too).

I went through this last Christmas for my 9 yr old niece. Her mom doesnt speak to us and her dad was useless.

She is into Webkinz but I dont what she has or doesnt have so this year I got some of the trading cards, lip gloss and body spritz that come with a code for her to get stuff online for her Webkinz.

Last year I bought pjs from Limited Two, a necklace from LII, Hannah Montanna books and a craft book that made friendship bracelets, came with the yarn also at the book store.

I got a lot of genuine squeals not just the "thanks Aunt Mkrop" so I thought I did pretty well considering I have boys and I dont feel I know her anymore.

hmmm...my DD is 10, so maybe i can help a little. DD is getting a build-a-bear winter bear (perhaps you could get her a gift card of there's a BAB nearby?) several disney DVD's, the american girl ivy doll and accessories (her GGma is getting her the julie doll), several littlest pet shop items, battleship (the original game). perhaps she'd like disney "scene it"? it costs about $30.00. our family LOVES board games, card games, dominoes, etc. does she like care bears? there's a special 25th anniversary care bear that's about $20-$25. i saw a HSM dance mat game thingy in wal-mart a few weeks ago that was about $30.00. i think the original dance dance revolution dance mat game is about $60.00. sorry, i'll shut up now, lol, just throwin' stuff out there.

Find out if she likes High School Musical...my ten year old is into ANYTHING to do with it, Littlest Pet Shop, jewelry, lip gloss, fingernail polish, Webkins, arts & crafts, Hannah Montana, etc. There is a world of things that you could do for this little girl...but I would say if she likes HSM you will have an easy time buying for her...there is a tone of stuff out there. Hope this helps

American Girl magazine subscription, just about anything from Limited,too, ,a fun calendar-maybe Hannah Montana or High School Musical.

Grown up silk jammies, everything needed for a manicure...including nail jewels. Matching hairbrush and mirror. Beads for hair.

If she lives where it is cold a special "eyelash" scarf. Funky hat and mittens.

Temporary tatoos... (see if you can get a rise out of the folks)

At 9 she is probably hanging on to being a little girl with big girl ideas... How about a porcelain (sp?) doll.

Her own Christmas ornament. Get her one every year and when she is on her own some day she will have her own box of ornaments to get her started on her own tree. (My sister does this for all her nieces and nephews)

Thanks for all the great ideas. I'll call my sister tonight to check about High School Musical or Hannah Montana. While the dolls are a great idea her grandmother (not my mom) always gets her a porcelain doll for Christmas each year and an American Girl doll and stuff for her birthday - I don't want to step on any toes there as that's "her thing".
