Any ideas for a Pre-WDW vacation in FL???

We have been doing split vacations the last 3 or 4 year and have enjoyed seeing some new sites. Any ideas for 3 day trip in FL. We usually fly into an airport close to what we want to do, rent a car and do Disney for the last 4 or 5 days. We have done Daytona Beach, Flager Beach, Clearwater Beach and Indian Rocks. Sea World and Universal as well. Any suggestions??? Pompano Beach or Key West maybe? Probably don't have enough time for Key West as our trip this year is 2 days shorter due to DD's graduation.

Space Coast/Cocoa Beach? I really like Saint Pete Beach.

Our favorite thing to do these days is a cruise and then Disney. There are several options if you want a 3 to 4 day cruise. Have fun.

We wanted to do a cruise but DD is terrified and it's her graduation so we want to do something she will really like. She wants to hang out at the beach for a few days, so that's what we're looking at. I have spent hours on tripvisor and am so confused!

How about Vero Beach? Disney has a resort there, or DD and her fiancé stay at the Driftwood Inn and always have positive things to say about it.

We had been planning to do a couple of days around Marco Island/Naples area but we couldn't pull it off this year. We could only find reasonable flights to Orlando. We wanted to have something as different from Disney as possible before we spent 14 days there.

Another possibility is Destin, also on the gulf coast.

We swam with manatees in Crystal River and then did Homosassa Springs one trip - it's over on the west coast of FL.

We spent a few days in Vero Beach last October. We stayed at Disney's Resort there and loved it! We are actually headed back in May!

Hi The Sarasota area has quite a bit to offer,including Siesta Key. It is about an hour and a half from WDW. Or further down the west coast you have Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Joan

The gulf coast is amazing. Pensacola, Destin, Fort Walton, Panana City area all have beautiful beaches. Clear, emerald water with white sand beaches, I love it.

I second Marco Island - it's so beautiful!!! My second choice would be Ft. Lauderdale. The Marriott there has a beautiful beach and it's not too bad of a drive from Orlando!
