I ran upstairs to get some tax stuff together, and my 2 yo DD decided to color the carpet. Got a lot of it out with Resolve, but I can still see it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think I remember reading a hint from Heloise about this. Take a clean white cloth and put it on the stain, then take an iron set on med and iron the cloth. The heat should melt the crayon and the cloth should absorb it.

But maybe you should look on Crayola.com too, just in case!

I have used "MR Clean Magic Eraser" and it worked to get all of it out. My kids love to color on everything EXCEPT the coloring books. I now only buy the washable crayons that Crayola makes. Good luck getting the rest of it out.

We had a couple of crayons melt on the fabric in my car - I got them out with a my Little Green Machine and by melting it with a hot iron and paper towel. It seems like there's a chemical that will too (WD-40?).

Someone told my DH that babywipes get almost anything out of carpets and they were right. We use them for all sorts of stains.

Thanks for all your help!! I just got one of those Mr. Clean erasers, so I will give that a try.

Can anyone tell me how these Mr. Clean Erasers work? With 5 DCherubs and the older ones messier than the younger ones :p , I can certainly use it!

I really like them. They do work wonders as I have found out too many times. At our old place I tried everything to get regular crayon off the walls, nothing worked til this wonderful item. Now it is all I use to clean up the walls. I do notice that it leaves a residue on the walls. However this comes right off with a damp cloth. Hope you like them as much as I do.

a paper bag on the carpet and iron over it...the bag picks up the crayon as it melts...move the bag around to a clean area of the bag often.

my mother swears by the magic erasers. She loves them for our artist in training on her walls.

How well did the Mr. Clean eraser work on getting crayon out of the carpet? I'm a sales rep for a carpet company and I've never heard of that method (of course, those erasers are pretty new). I have to remember to call someone about that.

The hint from Heloise about using a hot iron and a damp cloth sounds like a good one. I'm not sure about the WD-40 idea, though. It might not hurt the carpet fiber, but I'd be afraid of it having an effect on the backing and causing it to delaminate.

The eraser worked like a charm.
