We have been trying to upgrade our Dec booking over Xmas to a Club Level room. We were waiting to see if we could use a code but as they were ending up costing more we had to make some decisions about how much we were spending.

When we decided to go for it we have had a problem with availability for 12/17 - 12/30.

Tonight online almost every resort has availability at CL with more than one room type - when we called CRO nothing.

We have spoken to 3 CM's who in turn have checked with the resort and Guest Services who all say nothing available.

Anyhow we booking the CR Atrium Club online whilst on the phone to CRO and they have confirmed that we have a room.

Does anybody know what's happening?

The database that the phone CM's use is supposed to be more up to the minute with room availability. They are still having issues with their computers so who knows.

I agree about online availability. I checked AAA site and they had availability at all levels for WL for my January stay. When I tried to book AAA rate thru Disney nithing was coming up but the top of the line rooms. Same thing happened when my DU TA tried. I think that the CRO phones are the most up to the minute way to book, unfortunately, especially when you see it available online and get all excited.

Congrats on your Atrium Club booking! Bookings must have loosened up because for awhile there were no rooms available during that time period. You can keep calling back to check on AAA and AP discounts etc. We will be staying Atrium Club for some of the same time as you are so we might run into each other! Now you can have fun planning.

Well, if this is 2007 you're talking about I'd say you got REALLY lucky.:goodvibes

I have been looking every once in a while (thinking about changing our Thanksgiving trip to Xmas) and CANNOT EVER :headache: find a continuing check in thru Xmas with the check in date being prior to "Holiday Season" rates. They show availability if I break up the ressie so part is prior to Dec 19 and then after that it's available only with their mega inflated rates.

Whenever I've booked online I have not had any problems at check in despite CRO telling me it is "false availability". I just think the whole WDW computer systems stink & they are very inaccurate.

Happy travels,

Lives4Disney :)

I was really surprised last night as I had been trying to get a CL room at a monorail resort for a while.

Last night I could have booked GF SL CL, all level of Poly CL rooms, CR Atrium CL & WL CL for my dates 12/17 - 27/12. At one point the availabilty disappeared for about 30 mins and my heart stopped.

We eventually got it booked though. I would have preferred to have booked with CRO though (personal preference).

Look forward to seeing you there.

This wil be our 1st visit to the CR

Not all availability on AAA's website is at a discounted rate. They will book at a discount if they have discounted availability, and when that runs out, they will book at rack rate as long as any availability still exists. Since AAA's discount is a percentage of rack rate, you can tell which rooms are discounted by the price showing. If it's an odd amount, like $268.75, it is a discounted rate. If it's an even amount, like $350.00, it's a rack rate price. Also, AAA's rates that they show when checking availability do not include tax (I found this out by comparing their rack rate prices to Disney's rack rate prices). So you have to remember to add the 12.5% tax to the rooms (13% for All Star Resort) to get the total per night rate. I've never booked through AAA's website (only used it to check availability) so I don't know at what point in the booking they add the tax in or give you the total for the booking.

I checked Southwest Airlines Vacation section and was amazed with what's avail at Disney World there. Another option.....

Yeah, I know, they were showing discounted rates, but it was false availability. In fact if you check right now for WL standard view for Jan 2-6 they will show book now at $191.25, but when you call Disney they will tell you that they have no AAA rooms until you get to the CY bunk category (or they did a few days ago). The rate they have for YC is correct, I was able to book it thru Disney with the discount, so maybe it's just a glitch for WL
