My cheese thread inspired me to toss out another little secret of most of the signature dining restaurants: the hot tea selections. They are "hidden" on the dessert menus, but we always order them with dinner. They have flavored teas that are delicious, like Eros at Jiko which tastes like a creamsicle if you put cream in it...yes, orange and vanilla tea. There is also one that is literally made out of dried berries...that one is at Jiko and I think Citricos too. There are all sorts of exotic flavored blends too with cinnamon, cloves, and goodness only knows what else. If you're a hot tea lover dining at one of the signatures, be sure to ask for the tea menu. You will be pleasantly surprised. The teas are whole leaf and are served in a press pot.

We are huge tea lovers, I always stock up at the Twinnings place in England and I am a huge fan of Teavana (check them out online). We loved the GF tea and at the Yachtsman we ordered pressed pot hot tea, Vanilla Roobios and Earl Grey, yummy

Thanks for the Jiko info. I am wondering if they would do it to go. I am staying at AKL.

I am excited about trying The Wave. The list silken sachet tea.
My sister bought me Harney's (the best cinniamon tea - like a sweet bun and I could go on and on) tea in siliken sachets and it is all I drink at home.

That's the one I am ordering! I recently found out about the pressed pot teas at Jiko and have been really looking forward to trying some. I did not know about the loose tea last time I was there. Thanks for bringing this up!

Thanks for posting this info. My hubby and I love hot tea, and I will certainly be asking for the tea menu at Jiko this coming Sunday! Only 4 more sleeps and we'll be there!
