Any hope for Fantasmic package?

I was on the phone when WDW Dine opened on my 90 + 10 date to get a Fantasmic dinner package. I still had to wait 35 minutes and then when the CM answered I was disconnected and routed to the survey! I called again and waited another 25 minutes. No Fantasmic packages left. There are only 2 days with shows the week we are there and one of the dates we have Cirque tickets, so that leaves just ONE day. This trip I am taking my DSis-in-law who has been though some tough times (cancer survivor, recently widowed) and I wanted so much to make this a magical trip. The date I need is still 2 months away (Dec. 4) and I have called a number of times hoping to get lucky but I am getting discouraged. Is there realistically any hope or should I just give up and plan on waiting in line for 2 hours?

Expect Disney to ADD shows to the schedule as the dates get closer.

It is likely that on nights that only offer one show now, they will add a second performance.

It is also possible that if the crowd levels merit it, they will add additional NIGHTS to the performance schedule.

All you can do is to continue to monitor the calendars and event lists every day up to, and during, your trip.

Keep trying. You would be suprised how many people will end up cancelling, espically around the 45 day mark when cancelling a room reservation has a penatly. Some book vacations and hold everything in place until that day and then cancel if they can't make it. Good luck!

Wow! These boards are amazing! Thanks for the quick replies and the rays of hope. I do have the December DHS calendar link on my laptop desktop and will continue to check regularly to see if shows are added. We stay DVC so I am not up to speed on reservation rules at other resorts and I didn't know about the 45 day rule. I will be especially vigilant once the 45 day mark arrives. I just called on a whim to see whether my dates had opened up, and they had - at all three restaurants. Called on a whim again and booked an Illuminations cruise. NEVER give up!

Shows won't be added until a few weeks ahead, so don't waste too much time continuing to check!

Keep trying. I canceled the one I had for 10/26. Since they added more shows when I'm going I'm not see worry about getting in.

My reservation is for 10/27 and the CM thought the show must have just been added, since all 3 restaurants are open.

I mannaged a chef mickeys reservation 10 days out by calling/checking online very day for about 4 weeks and it was a fluke when i got it i had already checked for the day but i wanted to add a note to our room reservation and they CM asked if i wanted anything checked and i said oh why not check mickeys again and hot darn there was an avability !!!
