Any Halloween Candy deals?

I am participating in a local trick or treat event for my community. The coordinator has suggested we have 1,000 pieces.yes. 1,000 pieces!

Has anyone seen any deals on large quantity of candy? I’m hoping to avoid “the cheap stuff”

If you shop at Kroger, they have 33% off all Halloween candy starting today (I think it's just for 3 days). Years past it used to be 50%. Though you'd be buying a lot of bags to get 1,000 pieces of candy. I'd probably go to Costco if I needed that much. They have a good selection, buy in bulk. I saw a huge bags of candy but, sorry, don't remember the cost.

Your best bet is probably a warehouse store: BJs, Costco, Sam's.

No matter where you buy it, it's probably going to cost about $50 for 1000 pieces of candy unless you go the Tootsie Roll/Dum Dum route.

I found some large bags (55 count, 170 and 255) at The Big Y. I currently have 715 pieces or so..total cost so far? $85.00

Search Halloween Candy on CVS. There are some added coupons on the registered loyalty card that make deals better and if people help, you can really do well.
Many Hershey/Butterfinger brand snack/fun size bags are 5/$15 (I added up 6 x 3 and the price of $3 /bag stayed) count of 16-22 per bag. There is a $5/$15 coupon (one use) on most CVS loyalty cards this week.

The Mars/Hersheys minis bags (including Sour Patch) minis are on sale for $19.95 with counts between 135-250 per bag.
Check the boxes on the left for more sales. There are BOGO and other sales as well.
Shipping is free for orders $35+ or you can purchase for instore pickup.

Many times, when you make a large purchase instore, a coupon prints for $7/$35 or $8/$40. I do not know about online orders.

Walgreens probably has sales as well.
