Any guesses on the new promo?

Now that the free dining window has passed, anyone care to speculate what Disney's next promo will be for the fall?

They have to to do something to kick off the "Year of a Million Dreams"

Maybe a room rate discount?

Maybe a stay for 7, pay for 4?

The possibilities are endless!!!!!

I would love it if they did the stay for 7 and pay for 4 (though I am not holding my breath ) but if they did I would definetly go twice next year instead of one trip and they would probably end up making more money that way with all the extra stuff I would buy over 2 trips.

Last fall we arrived the day after the room rate discount started and saved $400 for 8 days at POR. I really hope they do this one again!!

Our first trip (Oct 2003) we were really lucky and got the 7 nights, pay for 4 at the Wilderness Lodge which was completely unexpected and fab. Can't remeber what we got for our second trip (Animal Kingdom Lodge feb 2005), it wasn't as good but was still a saving (every little helps!). We're coming again to the Wilderness lodge this October . I thought they might extend the Dining package this time which is a good deal, I have been expecting something to go on the Website today but nothing so maybe they are having enough interest without having to 'dangle any carrots'!

Subscribing to this, I too was hoping someone had heard something about a deal coming out this fall. My guess would be that any deals won't be announced until the 45 days is past for people to cancel the free dining and rebook the new deal.

Oh, is 45 days the time you have to cancel/amend after booking? That would make sense then so you could be right. Presumably that 45 days is only if you have taken a special offer? We just have a regular booking at the Wilderness Lodge & I don't recall there being any time limits on ammending it.

You have until 45 days prior to your arrival date to cancel without a penalty. So that would mean 45 days prior to Sept. 30 (the last day of the free dining promotion), placing the "deadline" in mid-August. The 45-day cancellation policy applies to all packages, not just the ones booked with special offers.

I've been told a new code is coming, just have no idea what it is. I was under the impression that it would be released not too long after the free dining promo expired - but who knows. I do think it will be released sometime in July (just my guess). I don't think it'll be as great and wonderful as free dining or pay for 4 get 3 free deals. But at least its a code - right!

I called the other day and was told that something would be released first of JUly....she hinted to a code..

I have our ressies and everything set up for week after Thanksgiving with AAA 20% off but sure hoping for something better!

The stay for 7 pay for 4 would definitely get us there sooner, but if I remember correctly the last time that was offered was '03 (?).

We are planning to be there in March, but the new promotion might dictate if we come in the fall also.

usually, you can only use one code at a time. If promo rate is better than the AAA rate then go with that.. etc.... If you go with the promo rate, AAA can still book it, you just won't get their discount.

So if they offer the free park hopper plus upgrade again, does that mean I'd have to choose between that and the AAA room discount on a MYW dining package? I couldn't get the room discount and the ticket upgrade? That would really stink - we were going to stay for 9 nights instead of 7 if they offered that again

I'm not sure.. you'll just have to wait and see what the promo is. What
I was saying is that the last promo (free dining) you could book it through AAA however you could not get the AAA discount and the free dining. It was either/or.... Any travel agent can book the current promo.

This type of promo would save me $0!!! All my kids are considered "adults."

Maybe buy 1 adult ticket for length of stay, get another 1/2 price or better yet...FREE!

A 7 for 4 deal would be great, but we are headed over Thanksgiving week, I have a feeling that is going to limit what codes/promos are available to me.

I think they will have a MYW package discount. I booked my early December 2005 trip in February of 2005 and a code came out on 9/29/05. I called WDW and they applied it to my package. I saved $314 on a 7 day package.
