My husband will be working at a conference for most of the days we are at Disney and I will be taking our DS (7) and DD (5) to MK and MGM alone. Are there any tips or suggestions anyone can give me on how to keep an eye on both of them or what rides we should not do because they won't seat three at a time?

Appreciate any and all suggestions.
Thanks

Bring a close friend or relative with you. It would be a HUGE help!

I agree, but it is not possible. We don't have the extra room at the AKL for an extra person, plus the cost of the airfare would be too much as we are leaving in a little over a week. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You will have a blast, as you can see from my tag I love the trips I take with my kids (love my dh too!!) I have been taking my girls as the solo adult since they were 3 and 5 and its lots of fun. They are 8 and 10 now and we are planning an October tirp.

Honestly I can't think of anything at MK or MGM that you can't ride three in a row, we even did it in the barnstormer at MK, so don't worry about that.

As for keeping and eye on them, just make sure that you have clear rules in the am and a plan for if you do get separated - we never needed it but its nice to have.

Planning for parades and shows is the most difficult, make sure everyone uses the bathroom and grab some snacks and water while waiting.

I also find that a table service lunch can be a lifesaver although a bit more expensive than counter serve. By making a ps for a late lunch we can rest and I don't have to navigate with trays to find a seat etc. My girls also get tired of typical kid meals so a nice salad or appetizer for lunch keeps everyone happy.

At MGM we love prime time, anything on the menue or sci fi for burgers. At MK we like Crystal Palace or Tony's.

If you have more specific questions post away!!
Have Fun

My daughters are 5 and 9, we have been taking girl trips on our own, to the world since they have been 3 and 7. Before we leave to disney we set ground rules..dd5 will
hold dd9 hand on bus and getting off bus(I have stroller)...dd9 will get off bus 1st and make sure dd5 does not get hurt getting off bus, they no to wait for me right next to bus until I am off bus (99% of time I am right behind them) t They wear the same outfit if not the same color tshirt. I dd9 was given cellphone in case of emergency (in case we get seperated.)never has to use it. We have spot to meet where it is crowded so she can inform a cm she is waiting for mom dd5 also is aware of spot but she is always in stroller so I get more worried about dd9. Main reason for me taking stroller is so I know where she is and dd9 holds on to stroller. We go 2x's a year for a week or so, and at least once a month, we live an hour from disney. DDH goes once in awhile but he's tired of going and he's my true child. If he does a ride once won't go on it again..hates crowds, lines etc..This upcoming trip he stating he wants to come..I'll have to set some ground rules for him.. any questions please post

I just took a solo trip with DS6 and DS3. We set some ground rules right away about staying together. We also talked about what to do if we got seperated. I explained how to find a CM and they each had a piece of paper in their pocket with my cell phone number. We had a great trip and are planning to make it an annual tradition.

I dress both of my kids (DS 7 & DD 5) in the same color shirts. It is easier to keep track of 2 red shirts or 2 orange shirts than 2 different color shirts. I also usually dress in the same color shirt that way they can keep their eye on me too. :goodvibes (It also helps in pictures!)

Another thing you might do is put your cell phone number in their pocket. If they get lost a CM can call you.

My main problem was the dreaded restroom (but thats another debate topic!) If you have a boy just make sure they know what to expect at restoom time before you go to the park. If they are young, will they go in the ladies with you? Will they go in the mens while you wait outside? Will everyone go in at the same time and rush out to meet? Also, I think a few restroom have 2 different exits.
