We are having a car this year and would like some advice on some good restarants outside of disney. I do not mind what type of food open to all suggestions. We always end up in downtown disney and eat but would like to try some new ideas. Hope you all can help me.OH if anyone has any good pictures that would be great also. I am going to remember to take photos this year!:cutie:

We like the Outback steakhouse, especially the one near Formosa Gardens, I am sure there are better steaks to be found elsewhere but the take-out option is something that we find very useful.
The staff are extremely friendly too (I am a familiar face in there!).

I love having a cold beer at the bar also.

Ok where shall I start -

Red Lobster
Olive Garden
Outback Steakhouse
Cheesecake Factory
Hard Rock Cafe
TGI Fridays
Bahama Breeze
Cafe D'Antonio in Celebration
Tony Romas

Most of these restaurants have food pictures in my trip reports.

I am a big Cheesecake Factory and PF Changs fan both of which are at the Mall at Millenia. You can see pictures of the yummy meals at the Cheesecake Factory and of course their famous cheesecakes on their web site.

We tried Bahama Breeze for the first time this year and really enjoyed it. There's one at Crossroads and one on International Drive, both doing Caribbean style food.

IHOP (International House Of Pancakes) is a good one for breakfast.

Golden Corral is a good all you can eat buffet option.

By far my favourite and a must-do on all our trips is Sweet Tomatoes on the corner of I Drive and Kirkman Road. Again it's an all you can eat buffet, but this is the healthy version - salads, soups and pasta which may not sound that exciting but it is all absolutely delicious!

There is also one opening at Lake Buena Vista too. I haven't tried this restaurant but it is on our to do list this trip.

I forgot about that one. I've just checked and it's open now!

Texas de Brazil is our favourite off site restaurant.

If you want a cheap meal and good value, then Golden Corral can't be beaten!

We like Logans Road house, Highway 192 near Kissimmee old town.
It tends to be our first port of call after arriving. :thumbsup2

I agree with a lot already mentioned -

Bahama Breeze
TGI Fridays
Cheesecake Factory
Giordianos for pizza
D'Antonios at Celebration

Ooooh I wish I was there!!!!!:)

Thank you for all your help, I have listed all the names and will try some out when we go!:)

If you are thinking of this restuarant WayneG was there last night and has put a comment on his thread "Leaving Soon" here on the trip planning threads.

Thanks for that Clare. After reading Wayne's comments I think I might give the new one a miss and stick to the one on I Drive.

To add to the already large list you are developing we always go to Friendlys, on International Drive, a couple of times per trip.
It very rarely gets busy, the food is really good and the price is right too.

Kobe Steakhouse,
Lone Star steakhouse
Cracker Barrell
Perkins
red Lobster
Chillis
IHOP
Dennys

These are our must visit each time

I would try it David if you are down that way, personally I would not trail up to the old one if around LBV, couldn't fault the food, all fresh and a little more choice, nicer ice cream, just could have been designed better, it has a clean feel about it(still very new), high warehouse type ceiling, no windows. Staff workied their socks off.

Other places to try:
Orlando Ale house
Texas Roadhouse

This week we are hoping to get to:
Manny chophouse
Bubbalous

Thanks Wayne. We won't be back for a couple of years anyway so it might have a more 'homely' feel by then.

If you've got a car... head out for Manny's chophouse!

You won't be disappointed!

Texas de Brazil is an enjoyable/different experience.
Olive Garden give good choice and value
TGI's have a wonderful Jack Daniels range
Sweet Tomatoes is clean and great healthy food with extensive choices.
