I was wondering if anyone has found anything good for Easter baskets? My DD(6) has multiple food allergies so there isn't much I can do candy wise. I was wondering if anyone has found any inexpensive creative things? We have more coloring books than we know what to do with! So those are out! I also have a tween!!! So any ideas found for that age group would be great too!!!! Thanks!

We always do spring/summer type items for my girls. Minimal candy. I found egg shaped sidewalk chalk at the dollar spot in Target. Also got jump ropes, water balloon sets, bubbles, squirt guns, etc.

nail polish. lip gloss, sun glasses, beach towel, itunes card, sandals, swimsuit cover up, crafting supplies, kite, socks,

She's probably spoiled in this aspect because we don't give candy for Valentine's day or Easter, we're just not a "candy" family. She gets a small gift... She's super into the Disney Princess Legos, so she'll also get the Aurora's bedroom in her basket, and she also likes Calico Critters, so maybe a baby set for one of them.

We're headed to WDW the following Friday, so her basket will probably include some sunglasses, plane entertainment things, kite, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, jump rope, hair clips, etc.

Painting Easter Eggs. It is really cool. On the Lego website it is $9.99

Last year I was tired of candy so I filled the eggs with rainbow loom bands and hid the eggs around the house. I had a few bigger eggs that I was able to fit nail polish in and Disney Infinity discs. I also like the small Disney princess dolls (Little Kingdom, Magic Clip, or a few other names they go by). And I order Scholastic book order books through the year when they have the $1 and $2 books to add to baskets and stockings. A big hit in the stocking was Twistables crayons that were crazy cheap at back-to-school sales -- basically "fun" art supplies.

If we have trip dates by Easter from the make a wish foundation I am thinking of doing pins, a autograph book and epcot passport in the baskets.Been searching etsy for some homemade books and ebay for pins.

Disney Gift card would work or money for the trip

My kids always get swimsuits in their baskets. I found a deal at target a few weeks ago, buy one get ine 60% off. I usually do bubbles sidewalk chalk, and crocs.

I found Scrunchi pony holders at Wal-Mart on an egg shaped cardboard holder. There were 5 or 6 pony's in some bright Easter colors for $1 in the Easter section.

We do some candy and then usually a gift of some sort (this year I am doing Lego sets), and then a book. I actually have asked my parents and my in-laws not to get them baskets full of junk this year, which is what they usually do. My father-in-law wasn't too happy about that. Oh well. We suggested Disney gift cards. I might also throw in another disney shirt :cutie:

Pier 1 has cute sequined pens, notebooks and mini mirrors for $2-$4 each. Good for little girls and teens

We've done gardening supplies (including seeds), shirts & pjs with bunnies on them, flip flops, bubble machine/bubbles, books, games, and puzzles.

I've always loved finding special small toys and things like hairbows, candy, bouncy balls, small figurines, jewelry, etc, to put inside of eggs, fantasizing about how the kids will love opening all the special treats. (I've done the same for their stockings.) It never happens that way. :( They rip stuff apart like Christmas morning and forget the plastic eggs half the time.
