Well it looks like we are moving to the east coast of Canada and might get a chance to go to WDW in February.

We would drive to Bangor Maine for flights to Orlando and I've heard that Pan Am has good deals out of there.

Has anyone here gotten good deals from Pan Am or another airline? We could fly out of Boston but would prefer Bangor.

Thanks for any info on fares and flights:D

They used to fly out of a secondary airport near STL, and into Sanford. We thought about using them on a trip, but they had a problem in STL and really dropped the ball. They fly some older B727 planes and one of them broke down. They left many stranded at the airport.....took about 12 hours to get another plane. That left me a little shy of them

We've found our best deals with American, but it looks like Delta is your only other choice out of BGR, and each is a connecting flight. PanAm may be a good choice for non-stop, hope it all works out for you.

I'm from Bangor, and direct or non-stop flights are just about impossible. In May we drove to Manchester, NH (about 3 3/4 hours) because we got rt to mco, non-stop for 142 each. Nothing from bgr could come close to that.

I've been tempted by panam, but am leery because of their few planes, and if something goes wrong, I don't want to be stranded.

In January, we're probably flying Delta out of Bangor. They have a 5:30am flight to Cincinnati (great airport), change to one to MCO and get in around 11:20am. There is a Sheraton connected to the airport, (you don't even have to go outside to catch your flight) in Bangor. From experience, I'd avoid any connections through Logan (Boston). There always seems to be some screwup.

The bgr-cvc-mco flight right now is about $306. Not too great, but that's what we get for living in the outback!!!!

Direct flights from ANY Maine airport to ANYWHERE are hard to come by!! For example: When I book air travel for our staff - Delta flights to Florida usually connect through Atlanta. But if I need to send someone to Atlanta (still using Delta), the flight connects through Boston or NY

We find that the flights out of Portland are not usually competitive with any of the fares out of Boston or Manchester. That said, we have plans to visit WDW next February with another couple - They live about 3 hours NORTH of Bangor - I am using www.travelocity.com to track airfare to Orlando (MCO) from both Bangor and Portland. I get an email notification everytime the airfare changes more than $25.00 (up or down). I also regularly check www.orbitz.com , www.cheaptickets. com and a few other web sites for price comparisons. If we get lucky, we should be able to fly for around $200 (US dollars) per person (maybe even less).

We've also been known to drive to MHT (Manchester, NH) - it's about a two hour drive. (Parking and airport access is sooo much better than Boston!)

This past February, we flew Southwest (direct, non-stop) to Orlando. We love flying via Southwest (free rapid reward tix :)) . We find the service to be exemplary. If our friends weren't already almost five hours away from us - we would most likely look for airfare out of Manchester. Good luck whatever you decide to do!
