My husband's birthday is Sunday and he loves Alden Merrill cakes but the Brookline location closed and I don't want to drive to Newburyport. Do you have any suggestions on where to buy a good chocolate cake?

Thanks in advance! :D

hmm...not sure about chocolate...but my MIL got my bridal shower cake at Konditor Meister and it was YUMMY! My cousin's bridal shower cake came from there too. It's worth checking out I think!

They are located in Braintree. (dunno how far that's from you)

Konditor Meister is always a hit.

There is also Guarino's in Norwood (yummy yummy cakes too)

Costco bakery. Their 4 layer chocolate cake is out of this world.

Thanks for your responses :D . I forgot about Konditormeister, we had them for our wedding cake. Of course my husband doesn't like Konditormeister  .

I couldn't find a website for this bakery but Montillios is wonderful. Bad news for me though, I've got one located at the end of my street :( .

PM me for directions if you like. I'm located in Brockton.

Donna's Cakes on Spring Street in West Roxbury makes great cakes. We get all of our cakes there.

I love Guarino's too! They have the best cannoli's!
