I don't see anything wrong with such a proposal.
What's wrong with wanting to meet up with someone and enjoy a similar interest in a safe and public place?

I totally see your point. If it were worded differently, like a DIS board meetup, then no one would bat an eye. They'd probably get excited. Cause how fun would that be?
But I think the fact that it's a guy specifically looking for a girl to go with (and has a screen name like "nice guy") ... this is not a dating board

Yeah, the fact that he's specifically asking for a female companion (and advertising how nice and non-threatening he is) is where the creepiness lies. If reads kinda like a murder-y Craigslist ad.
That said, I think it would be pretty fun to spend a day at Disneyland alone.

Because the OP needs a little more game than "Hey any girls wanna go with me to Disney?" How about engage in at least a 2 minute conversation with someone before proposing a trip together.

Doesn't sound like he's trying to run any "game" at all. Just a question for the masses. If he did anything wrong it was probably making his request a bit too succinct.
Some of us are just very succinct. I find it creepy because he's 35 and looking for a "girl." And that's creepy because he's either interested in a young girl, or he still refers to all women at "girls." Not the ideal travel partner in my book.
