We have already preordered our photopass CD for our October trip. Now I've heard that we can do this photo session at GF and because we have preordered the CD they will waive the $50 sitting fee. Sweet! So has anyone done the photo session yet with their family and have any experiences to share or pictures? Our family consists of me, DH, DS4.5 pirate: and DD 1.5 princess: so I'm hoping the photographers will be trained in keeping young kids entertained.

TIA

Aha, so is that how you get the fee waived? I just learned about this tonight (we leave a week from today) and it was something we wanted to do. I was going to call on Monday.

Jennifer, if you look around there are some great topics on the resort part of the DIS allready. But to shorten all that info; you prepurchage the cd online. After doing this you'll get an email with a code in that. If you book a one-on-one-session at the GF, you'll have to bring along a print of that email. In this way they can be sure that you're paying for the CD (and thereby the sitting fee) one way or the other. If not, you'll either have to buy the CD right then and there or pay the $49,95.

Chris, I've got a session booked for this wednesday. (yeah, it's comming quickly now!) I'll be back home on the 13th -aren't bringing my laptop so no internet at the world-, so if you can wait untill then I can tell you more by then. Just be warned; no kids here, so won't be able to tell you how that'll work out.

So, how do we book our photo session at GF? Where do we call? I have also preordered a CD and would love to take advantage of this offer.

April,

the following info is from from http://allearsnet.com/news/dd.htm

"Grand Floridian Portrait Sessions Offer One-On-One Photo Moments

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- There's a new occasion to "say cheese" at Walt Disney World Resort: during individual portrait sessions now available at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Guests who desire a more one-on-one photo experience during their Walt Disney World vacation can book a shoot at the majestic Victorian-style resort where a Disney PhotoPass photographer escorts the group through some of its most picturesque backdrops. Consultations are available prior to the shoot to discuss wardrobe, session location and theme options.

Guests can create a portrait package that suits their individual needs with two current offers: a single sitting ($49.95), and a package that includes a sitting and a PhotoPass CD with all of the digital images taken by theme park photographers during a guest's vacation ($124.95). For more information or to book a portrait session, visit Disney's PhotoPass desk on the second floor of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or call 407/824-1700."

Now this doesn't state anything about the prepurchaged CD, but the offer is there. I talked to the CM when booking and asked her about it. She knew all about the prepurchage CD and right of the bat could give me the info on how to go about and arranging all without having to pay any cent more than the $99,- for the CD. More of us on the DIS all got the same info when booking, so it should really be correct info or disney will soon have a small riot on their hands. ;)

I booked mine through this number, and there is a very lovely nice girl that answered allmost everybodies call (one person mentioned something about a male CM, and she got the wrong info from him). She'll explain all and more. She really did her best and gave me all kinds of tips and info she thought I might be able to use. Not only purely about the shoot (time, options, what to wear etc.), but also about the quickest way to get to GF etc.

Others on the DIS have mentioned that this can only be booked about a month before, so you should be able to book for your 5th trip.

Excellent and thank you for the link. I am going to call now.

I booked our session for Sept 24, on Friday. The lady I spoke with was really nice. She asked if I had prepurchased the cd ( i have). She also said not to wear any prints or patterns.

I also called to set up for 8 am on my Birthday. We are going to dress for Christmas and then use the pictures for our cards.

We were also told solid colours and all the same hue. I can't wait. Please someone do this quick and tell us how it went.

Any idea how long the photo session is?

When I called, they told me to plan about 20 min session - not long for 40 pictures with kids!!

 I called and the lady said it was 20-30 minutes and they block off an entire hour for each family. We have dinner at 1900 park fare at 4:30 and she went ahead and booked our session for 4:00 and told us to get there about 20 minutes early. I can't wait!!!

Has anyone does this yet? I am thinking about doing this session during our honeymoon. And does anyone have any of their photo from the session that they are willing to post.
