Any expert teacup riders?

I haven't been on this ride since I was a kid -- I get motion sickness (but can ride coasters w/ no problems). I'm thinking about doing it with the kids next time.

Two questions:

1. How old do the kids have to be to ride alone? Can an older child accompany a younger child?

2. If I do wind up riding, does the motion of the tea cups themselves (not the spinning of the individual tea cup) make anyone else sick?

They have to be 7 to be on the ride w/o you or an older child (16+) OR they can ride in their own cup if you are on the ride at pretty much any age.

The tea cups don't make me sick and we spin like crazy the entire time so I can't answer but DH can go on the tea cups once per trip if it's not spinning so I'm thinking even the light spinning from the ride does him in.

Hi neighbor! (I have family in Nashville, but reside just outside of Knoxville.)

1. I'm not 100% on kids riding alone. Last year, I did see adult-less teacups, but the kids in them were roughly 8+ years in age (no little tikes, and maybe older, I'm bad with guessing ages). Perhaps someone can come along and give a definite answer.

2. Once I got the death grip - the damage had been done, but I survived and was well within a few minutes of sitting in the shade with a bottle of water. However, if I had started with the death grip, I'd have been fine (and this is what I'll do if I'm tasked with riding again this May).

You said you can ride coasters just fine ... I can't ride coasters without the assistance of Bonine. But with Bonine, I can ride anything, if I'm cautious.

But each person and family is different ... As a young adult, I used to be the one to see if I could get "lift off" by spinning as fast as I could. Now just watching them makes my tummy flip. :rotfl:

Hello, fellow Tennessean! Thanks for your response!

Thanks for the info!
