Any experiences with Sci-Fi Breakfast, Rope Drop and TSM?

We have an 8:05 Sci Fi breakfast next week and hoping to get in line at TSM first thing w/o FP. Anyone have any experiences with doing this? I know RD will actually be 8:45 versus 9 so will they allow us to leave the restaurant at 8:45? Will the line already be ridiculous at TSM? I debated whether to keep this breakfast or just do RD. Thanks!

They were letting people into the park at like 8:20 when we were there last week. We walked in behind everyone (like 8:30) signed up for Jedi training and were in line for toy story by 8:40).

I know that early isn't as common but I don't know that I'd want to rush through breakfast. You'd really have little time to eat if it's as early as it was last week.

I had a reservation for an 8am breakfast last Friday, but wound up cancelling after reading reports of how early the park was opening. I didn't have FP for TSSM and wanted to be sure to ride it early. I was very glad I did. We walked into the park at 8:15 and were held at an internal rope until 8:30. We rode TSMM and then were the first people to meet Buzz and Woody at 8:50 (according the time stamp on my photopass pics). When we left out of Buzz and Woody the TSSM was listed at 60 minutes.
