Just wondering if anyone flew Jet Blue, and what they thought. I HATE flying and cancelled my air ressies with Disney when their only choices from JFK & La Guardia where Delta Express and Metro Jet. Both fly ancient 737s. Ever since a bad Pan Am 747 experience in the 70's, I really have trouble getting on a plane unless I am unconscious! The ironic part is that I am a aircraft buff and collect Airline memorabilia! I have heard good things about Jet Blue and they have brand new Airbus aircraft. Makes me feel a little better. Leaving in 5 days with xanax in hand! Also, anyone with e- ticket problems? This is the first time I am leaving without a ticket in my hand, just a confirmation #. Do they still have a check-in area, or do I have to fiddle with some ATM type contraption? Anyway, excitement will out weigh my anxiety. I hope! Can't wait to get there!!!!!!!!!

I've heard both good and OK reports. My sister just flew JetBlue and said it was "very nice". I haven't heard of anyone who DISLIKED it, which is more than we can say for Delta or USAir.

I'm flying Jetblue for the first time in November, so I can't help you.

my sil flies jetblue, jfk to fla ALL the time... and she LOVES it!

personally, from long island (where i am too) you cannot beat islip to fla via southwest :o)

GiGi,
Islip was my first choice also, (I could drive myself and leave the car there without worry) but Southwest only has 1 non-stop. The rest have stops in between. Non stop was only for first flight in the morning, 7 something, I believe. Also Jet Blue costs less and has brand new planes. That alone makes the trip to JFK bearable!

Donna,
I'll let you know what I think about Jet Blue when I return.

i know all about the 7:35 out of islip, as that is the one we will be on! we got $59 each way islip to mco... how much is jet blue? we also have a resident parking permit for islip, so we can leave the car there for free... at jfk i'd have to either pay to park or leave the car at my parents and get a ride or take a 20 min cab ride... either way, islip is my first choice! :)

btw, when are you heading down? we've only got three more days 'til wdw :earsboy: and i cannot wait!

Did you use Travel Agent? Best price I could find on line, when I booked, was a lot higher than that. Jet Blue was $65, each way. I'm in nassau, so no problem getting a ride to JFK. Getting to La Guardia or Islip at 6:30am would be a hard sell though!!! Jet Blue has a nice 1:00pm flight. We'll be right behind you, 9/4-9/14, POFQ. Have a great time! I know I will!

We flew them last Oct. Regular check in gates. The flights were all on time, everything went very smooth. And we swear our flight attendant was a stand up comeidian! The TV was great . The blue chips were a little too crunchy though.....Have a great trip!!!!

I've never flown such a great airline. I was almost (ALMOST) sad to get off at MCO! Enjoy your trip!

I love Jetblue. Unfortunately I'm flying Delta out of LGA for my next trip .

When Delta managed to land in LaGuardia 2 hours late this past Tuesday (which meant I got home at 1:30 AM!), I was talking to some other passengers and they all said they would take JetBlue in the future. One lady told me that JetBlue is consistently on time, whereas the Delta flight I managed to get on almost never landed on time.

That sold it for me!

Jet Blue fan here!!!! We used them in March down to Fort Myers Beach. The plane was pristine, the seats were great, the crew was friendly, the TVs kept my two young kids thoroughly entertained (and me too!!), the snacks were great (Bagel chips, Blue Terra chips, Linden's Choc. Chip Cookies, or one other choice that I can't remember), they give you the entire can of soda, flights left on time and arrived early, checkin with e-ticket was extremely easy, staff at the desks were friendly, boarding was fairly organized,....
JFK is so much better than Laguardia!!

Loved them so much that we booked our trip to WDW using them. We leave on 9/15 and come back 9/19. We got a fare of about $44 each way (that's why we're going, who could resist??). I actually live about 15 minutes from Islip. Flew Delta Express once to Orlando -- didn't really care for them and I paid dearly for the tickets. Couldn't get a good fare this time on SWA for the limited dates we were looking for (school is closed on 9/18 and 9/19).

The limo ride to JFK isn't too inconvenient and not overly expensive.

I'm a Jet Blue convert!! It's the first airline I look at now -- if they only offered a frequent flyer program!!
