Any Experiences From The Sci-Fi Dine In Theater in HS?

You can't beat the atomosphere in there, it is SO fun. When I look back at our vacation pictures, the ones from that lunch are great. I took shots of the movie screen, a panoramic of the restaurant, etc. Your waiter will go behind the car and take a picture of you looking back at him. Some people kiss, it's really sweet.

We didn't have reservations, just decided we wanted to try it and walked up. We were seated within 15 minutes during lunchtime. They are very nice about it.

The food, well, as I'm sure you've read here, is really just, well, blah. Nothing outrageously delicious. A really plain burger, even plainer chicken sandwich. We had a shake that was good. It's really about the place, not the meal there.

We have always made reservations and we always go at lunch around 11:30. The last 2 times we have gone, after we check in and are waiting for them to call our name, there are always families coming in to see if there is any availability and they have always been turned away and told that there is no availability "booked the rest of the day". Now that the value & moderates get the QS free, instead of the DDP, this may make a difference and it never hurts to try. Good luck!

With the newest FD offer, the mods are back to the DDP again...the QSDP for values and mods was the PIN code offer.

Sci-fi is one of my favorites but my 7 year old daughter does not care for the movie clips they show on the screen. She says they freak her out. Regardless she said she would go again on our next trip. Even though we are on the DDP I find it hard to use a TS credit here. I fell like I am not getting my full value so I always pay OOP.

YEAH!!! That is soooo good, I didn't pay attention to the newest FD offer since we aren't going till December.

I wonder if it would be cheaper to do 2 rooms at a moderate with FD or 2 rooms at POP and upgrade to FD from QS??? I better start comparing just in case they offer the FD in December

Do they have cars that seat six adults together and if so is it 2 x 2 x 2 or 3 x 3. Havent been since my kids were small enough to squeeze lol!

After the FD PINs came out, I really thought that the mods were going to be permanently downgraded to QSDP this year, I was happy to see that's not the case.

Happy planning, that's part of the fun! I'm hoping extended FD is offered too, we're going in October. I've got my comparisons going of FD vs room discount, subtracting tips, photo book, possible % of discount, yada yada yada.

Yes, they do have cars with 3 seats and if you are all adults, it would be 2 x 2 x 2. They also have a couple of cars that have a the car body but a table in them where you actually sit at a table with 6 or 8 people. They normally use these for handicap accessible.

We LOVE Sci-Fi and it is one place that my family all request to go every trip. We do just get the burgers, onion rings and a shake but they are yummy! and we love the atmosphere. Sooooo fun and totally different than anywhere else on or off property.

Nope, no need to request. Most of the cars seat 6 (3 rows for 2 each). So you are all set
If you are party of 4 then the party of 4 normally sit on the first 2 rows and a party of 2 gets the back seat as "hitch hikers".
