This is our first trip using a TA and first trip back to the World since the days of paper FP. We are a group of 12, four individual families, only one with young kids, ages 4 and 7. I am nervous about the TA booking our fastpasses in April, but I don't have any experience with the FP+ system either. From reading this site, I know that you must do it as soon as your window opens up for superheadliners such as FOP to get a good time. What experiences do people have with TA booking FP, especially for large family groups?

Have you discussed Fastpasses with your TA? I wouldn’t expect that to be part of their services. You can download the My Disney Experience App and connect with the other members of your party so you can
Make the same Fastpasses. I would check out the fastpass + sticky in the theme park strategies section

Our TA will book our FP and ADS if we want to, and we will have them do it and help manage our days. I've done it but living on the Left Coast it means waking up extra early and I figure they know the in's and out's better.

I used a TA several times and was told NO to booking fast passes or dining for us. (different TA's each time and neither even set a thank you note for our business after our trip)

My TA booked our ADRs and FPs. It was great not having to worry about system issues, etc. Also got everything we wanted at times wanted. This was only for a family of 5 though.

My TA booked our ADRs and FP+ for our family of 8. She insisted on doing it for us, even when I offered.

One of the only reasons I used a TA for this trip was bc she books the fast passes. We had a phone call the day before to discuss the plan and backup choices. All worked out great! I did my own dining bc I wanted to, but she would have done that too.

My understanding is this is one of the perks of using a TA. Mine definitely said she will book the ADRs and FPs as a key part of her service to us. In fact, she said I can tell her what we are interested in and she’ll try to get those, or if we don’t want to specify she’ll just pick things for us based on getting to know our group and what we’re generally interested in. The latter sounds nice, but not sure if I could actually do that since I’m so used to planning everything to the letter myself! I will probably give her a day by day list of 1st, 2nd, 3rd choices and still go in all the time for 60 days trying to refresh after the fact.
