Any experience with SitterCity?

This is coming from a sitter not a parent, but I'd love to hear parent's perspectives as well. I've always loved babysitting (I work in childcare at the moment), but I've had such a hard time finding clients. I've seen lots of commercials for Care.com, but I did some research and found pretty bad reviews. I haven't been able to find as much on SitterCity, though; has anyone had any luck with it? Like I said, I'm particularly looking for other sitter's experiences, but am definitely interested in parent's experiences as well.

Care.com is where it's at...at least in my area.

I have a free sitter city subscription through work to find child care. I've looked for nannies and sitters multiple times and hardly got any responses through sitter city.

On the other hand, I got tons of responses from sitters on Care.com.

I think care.com is more popular now, but as a parent I've gotten good responses from sittercity.com

We found a great sitter through SitterCity. She finished grad school and found full-time work elsewhere around the same time my oldest grew old enough to help out, but we all still miss her.

We used SitterCity years ago and found one not-so-great sitter and one great sitter for my kids for after school care.
It's been many years though.

As a parent of teenage girls now, I would be extremely nervous having my daughters go to a strangers house just based on the fact that they had an ad on one of those sites. Just creeps me out. Be careful please!

As a sitter/nanny, I've found multiple jobs via care.com over the last few years and zero from sittercity. I found sittercity to have more spam posts unfortunately.
