Any experience with changing DCL sailing dates?

We are thinking of planning a cruise (on points) for my 30th birthday. I'm wondering exactly what the procedure is if we should need to change the date of the sailing. We are planning 9-10 months out and who knows what could change in the time between. Anyone have any experience with changing cruise dates when sailing on points?
