Wanting to buy tickets for a MLS game, but I've never used this site before. It's a b-day present for my daughter so I don't want to have any problems getting in!

I used them before to buy concert and Major League Baseball tickets without a problem

I've never used it to buy, but we do use it to sell the season tickets we are unable to use. Its a legitimate company.

I have used them for several sporting events and have had no trouble at all. I actually prefer to use them over Ticketmaster!! The whole process is very easy and the tickets always arrive in plenty of time. I also like the fact that they guarantee the tickets so if for some reason they don't work you can call them. Luckily I've never had this happen but it does help with my peace of mind. Just make sure you print out your receipt and what ever else it tells you to.

We've used Stub Hub for both MLB and NFL games with no problems.

We've also used StubHub to purchase MLB tickets. No issues whatsoever.

I have used Stubhub to purchase tickets several times. Every ticket has worked great. There is someone at StubHub that I call when I don't want to do an internet transaction. If you want his name, let me know.

we used them to buy tickets to an event in December. I had my receipt with me and good thing.... our tickets weren't scanning to let us in. We went over to box office, they okayed and signed them, we went in to arena.

Part way into event an usher came over with this other family saying we were in their seats...I showed my tickets, signed as valid from the box office, and stayed put.
They ended up being put in different seats, but I had a chance to see his tickets and they were, in fact, for the same exact seats we were in.

I didn't bother notifying stubhub because we got what we paid for, but it was a hassle and I won't use them again because I am not sure what happened.

We have used several times and have never had a problem. Very easy and quick!

I used them once for concert tickets. The whole time we were sitting there, I was so nervous that someone was going to come and say that we were in their seats. They didn't. :thumbsup2 If Ticketmaster was sold out, I would use them again.

i have used them several times this winter for NHL tickets -- it worked out GREAT!! got to pick where i wanted to sit, and the price was usually cheaper then face value of the ticket -- several times I got tickets to see my favorite NHL team, face value was 125.00 and i got them for 65.00 a piece for lower level seats. Would use them again for next season!!

I've worked at several venues and Stub Hub can presenta problem. The same problems that affect any secondary market seller. What happens is people get the print at home tickets and copy them and sell the duplicates. Whichever of the tickets gets scanned in first gets entry to the venue all others do not. The same happens with the regular card stock ticket, people get them mailed to them, report them stolen (which voids the barcode) and have replacement tickets e-mailed to them which they use to enter the venue and the people who bought the tickets are refused.

The only good thing is that Stub Hub does have a ticket guarantee, meaning they'll refund you if you are turned away from the event, but you should know that there's a possibility that you'll be turned away at the door and miss whatever event you're trying to see.

We were on vacation a few weeks ago & used them to go to a LA Lakers game in LA. No problems what-so-ever!! And the price for the tickets was very reasonable. Would highly recommend them.

So getting there early helps?

What state has jurisdiction if a dispute escalates? This will be stated in the contract of carriage, er, terms and conditions, in fine print. For example Ebay is based in California and both it and its subsidiary Paypal declare southern California as the location where disputes are resolved. I would be hesitant to buy tickets, which are easily counterfeited, from an agency that resolves disputes away from where I live.
