any else think AKL smell's?

gee and my dh always says I have a hyper sense of smell WE have stayed twice and will be back in less than 2 weeks. I love the smell when you walk in the lobby and we love this resort much more than we liked WL. In fact we will probably not stay at wl again. We split our first stay here with a first time stay at the Poly and couldn't wait till we got back to AKL. I never noticed a zoo smell. Then again thats the beauty of so many different hotels at WDW. Something for everyone.

Zoo smell? No I never noticed that and I have been several times. Personally I prefer AKL over WL any day.

I didn't even notice a zoo smell while sitting on our balcony! Maybe it was just me, too excited to notice. But, I loved that indoor smell. It was so great!

Nope, stayed there twice and never smelled a zoo smell. Well, I take that back...I did smell a zoo smell once. But it was only us after we'd spent all day at the parks in the summer time! Whew! Did we smell like a bunch of animals! I much prefer AKL over WL too. Hope you didn't scare them off of a place they really wanted to experience.

No zoo smell but definitely the wonderful smell of the wood burning ovens in Boma and Jiko along with the spices.
