Any DVC members book cruise (DCL)?

Hi all,
We are planning our first Disney Cruise in Oct. (I am so excited!). We are not using any points to book but I was wondering if there are any specials/perks on board for DVC members. For example, do you get a discount on onboard shopping? Free drink? Anything?

Are you going on the DVC member cruise, or a regular cruise?

We are booked for the member cruise 10/22/06, but just returned from the 7 night Eastern using points.

There were incentives to book future cruises (in the next 12 months) with reduced points. There were a few things such as hats, luggage tags, pins, member magnets, etc that were given out.

They did have a couple of members only gatherings as well. With DS5 and DS3, we just never made it to those....my understanding is there were some free drinks, and some of the same giveaways of DVC promo stuff.

Other than that, a DVC member is really no different than a regular cash cruiser.

This will be our first Member Only cruise, so I can't really give you 1st hand info on those. I have read that there were special add-on incentives as well as some better door-prizes for gatherings and just for being on board.

No, we are going on a regular 7-day Magic cruise. Please PM me after your member cruise with details. I cannot wait to hear how you liked it. We tried booking the member cruise but it is sold out!
