Any drum corp fans out there?

The season starts for us next Saturday with a show in Toledo, Ohio!!!! Then we will be traveling to Murfreesboro, TN in July for a show there and then FINALS at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando in Aug!!!!!

Hey my DD is going to see you in Toledo. It's their band reward for a great season. She's very excited about going.

I am counting the hours until the Corps take the field next Saturday night in Toledo and the weather had better plan on cooperating!

I am anxious to see the Cavs show along with the Phantom Regiment, Marion Glory Cadents, Southwind and Glassmen.

Brisully, please let us know what you think of the Cavs show after YOU see it!

I won't be catching another show until the end of July in Murfreesboro, TN, so that will be the first time I will be seeing the Cadets. If any of you see them before then, please post!

sharbear, congrats to your DD and her band, I hope she enjoys the performances in Toledo!!!

I will be at WDW from July 31 - Aug 10 at the BCVs then to Vero Beach for a weekend and then back to OKW for DCI finals. I am looking forward to seeing some of the corps perform at EPCOT!

I am so jealous you guys get to see any DCI.The last time I saw any of the top corps was when they held DCI Canada here in my hometown.But through Drum Corps is how I met my DH.

I haven't seen a good Drum Corps show in YEARS.I grew up in Connecticut marching in Jr. Corps.I finished out my "career" in Senior corps...Connecticut Hurricanes.Since I left Connecticut over 20 years ago I haven't been in the loop of DC
I look back on those years with great fondess.Talk about building character,disipline and dedication.
We will be at WDW August 12 - 18.I would love to catch a bit of it.

Looks like they have some really great deals on WDW tickets too.

From what i understand, the corps sometimes play free concerts throughout WDW.

I may be going down for this, if I can get some really good airfare. Maybe a DIS meet in the making???????

I am glad I started this thread! Usually when I speak about DCI, I hear, "Huh?"

It would be great if we would be able to get a bunch of DCI fans together at WDW for a meet during finals week! Maybe a food court dinner one day?

July 21 there is a show here in Baton Rouge. This'll be the only one I'll be able to see. Finals are too close to baby arrival time to go. Oh well, maybe I'll go to see my child march one day.

I'm partial to the Cavies GREEN MACHINE!! I have two friends that are on their staff. We went to college together. I do wish Star was still an active corps. Star's 1993 ahow is my altime favorite show. Bartok and Barber.....wow. Medea was awesome. I was "this close" to making the corps that year but I was only a junior in high school so I waited untill the next year. Then they started to so the Brass Theatre stuff. I still kick myself for not marching.

One of my best friends is an avid VANGUARD fan and he and I go round and round about the "best corp"

I do think that the Vanguard did a awesome show when they did PHANTOM a few yrs ago.

I was at finals last year in Madison, WS and got to see the Vanguard Alumni Corp perform and it was great!!!!

I can't wait to see what the Cav's will do this year and if they can retain the championship title!

Another DCI fan here. I've been a fan ever since I was in the colorguard in high school (it was called "band front" back then). We won't discuss how long ago that was My hubby bought me the "Blast" DVD last week and it made me want to go to a DCI competition again.
