THIS is the sentence that started it all.
Epcotty, hiro was responding to *someone else*, with a statement that made sense to that person's situation. You have a different situation, it wasn't in response to your situation, and shouldn't be taken as The Word.
Nope, you go back and forth:
Or you really really care about the plastic card being worthless. But I"m pretty sure you were worried that the entitlement (I call it "admission") was going to be unusable.
And there wouldn't be a warning like that, because the admission is still usable, and very few people consider a plastic card not being used to be a tragedy.
Again, I'm pretty sure you're using "ticket" to mean "admission" or "entitlement" there, but it's just not true.
Hiro said MB because that's what made sense in response to the question he was answering. I don't think he meant it to be the full truth.
Until they install the chips in our bodies, the person wanting to enter the park will have some sort of "carrier" for that admission info, so yes, they will need either a card or a band to be scanned.
Not even a little bit of a problem.
In fact I think it makes it easier. I have made sure that DH doesn't create an account, and while I told my cousin that she *could* make an account, I think it's been easier that she didn't.
I have an account; I have the username and password.
On my account, I have *profiles*. I have profiles for:
hubby Robert
son Eamon
aunt Sarah (fake name!)
cousin Amy (fake name!)
cousin's son Elijah (fake name!)
cousin's daughter Aaliyah (fake name!)
All have past MBs on the account. Those of us who have had admission also have cards showing there; the cards represent the entitlements/admission media, though none of us have ever actually had CARDS since MBs were introduced. It's just a representative, on MY account and in my specific experience.
If I bought a ticket, an admission, for my cousin and assigned it to her, then she got sick and sent her son, I could reassign it to her son. Her son has a MB on the account, so assuming he still has it, he would just use that to enter the park. If he did NOT have the MB anymore, we would stop at a window before entering the park and they would grab a piece of plastic, assign it to his profile in my MDE, which would then allow that plastic to access that admission/entitlement, and we would skip joyfully over to the turnstiles and go on in.
Yep. Epcotty, that's the sentence that needs to replace Hiro's sentence for you.
Yep.
The response to another person's situation is what you're focusing on. It wasn't in response to you. Subtchr's responses have been *to you* and your situation.
No it isn't a problem.
They don't tell you this because it's such a non issue. If they had said "stop by guest relations for a new piece of plastic before going to the turnstiles" would that really have changed anything for you?
Oh my gracious NO, do not do that. You actually have the perfect situation going, with you having the MDE and everyone having simple profiles, right now. Don't complicate matters.
Seriously, it wouldn't have changed anything. Subtchr is telling you now.
If you are trying to see what tickets/entitlements/cards people have, and you click on their profiles that you set up and there are entitlements and cards showing up, then that is the very definition of significant.
You will not lose money. You will not lose anything except for that one piece of plastic which you can now frame.
There is no nightmare whatsoever here.
Absolutely.
This would be soooo much easier if you would have listed out people (fake names) and what you have (2 day ticket, 1 day ticket, etc) for us.
Disney isn't doing that, though. You are getting yourself confuzzled and are thinking that this is the case, but it's not the case.
Buying MBs and having them assigned to the profile will take the same, if not more, time than getting a new piece of plastic for the one person to use.
If only we knew what that meant.
Say what now?
If you want more, why not list it out like I did above with my account? In my case each person has multiple old bands, some old "cards", and no current admission/entitlement. Not even me.
If you listed it out maybe it would be easier to understand to give you even more specific answers to your concerns.
But you're not an idiot, you've wasted nothing but a bit of time and worry, and this will allllllll be easily resolved.
Would almost certainly be best if you called the tech number given once or twice in this thread, so they can access your account and place things EXACTLY where you want them.
