Hey there just had a curious thought if there were any other Poker players out there? Im not a Full Time poker player but I do put in more hours a week then I care to reveal;) . So there has to be some of us out there ?

Oh yeah, I play way too much poker. Played for about 3 hrs last night.

HaHa...Thats about a standard night for me! Full Tilt? Poker Stars? Bo Dog? Ultimate bet?

I love poker...I haven't played in so long. I can't seem to find a local game that let's us chicks in....so annoying. And I haven't gone to AC in months. I used to play online all the time but just don't have time for that anymore and I kind of lost interest...live is so much more fun.

Love me some poker. I play on Bodog these days. I like their interface the best. I've got an AC trip about a month before our WDW trip. Hoping to increase my current bankroll a bit to splurge a little for our anniversary.

Really they dont let you in? Thats terrible....nothing about that makes sense? They must not be there for poker, IMO. Money is money no matter if its male or female. Though I do like live poker better (i dont feel like a robot, and ive had better results live) I do like the fact that whenever I have a free moment I can load up 3 tables and play from my bed lol.

I play only on Full Tilt. Ive honestly never saw bodogs interface so I cant comment on it. What level and/or games do you play online? I love AC, went there a couple years ago and it was very fun. We have card rooms locally (big rake though) so I usually dont go very far. About once a month I do go to Foxwoods and their poker room is masive and beatuiful. mohegan just opened one up Im gonna make the trip when work slows down!

I've been having some success lately with 9+1 Super Turbo SnG's so I'm trying to milk those as much as I can. I'm getting in the money with about 2/3 games right now.

I grew up in NJ, so AC is still like home to me. I lived in Milford, CT for a year and frequented Foxwoods often. Their poker room still super packed like it was back in 04 & 05?

Eh, I think they are afraid to lose to a girl. ;)

Its still busy but not as busy as it use to be. If you go during the week their are plenty of tables open and usually you can get right on. Mohegan Sun just re-opened their poker room and it has seen high volume from what Ive seen but Im sure that will die down alittle after the hype is over.

Ive played those super tubos and have a great ROI in them but theres two much varience. Thats inpressive if your cashing 2/3. Your bankroll must be flying high with that kinda ROI...

No kiddin thats unbeliveable. Im sorry to hear that, if your wondering/interested we always have at least 1 or 2 girls at our home game and more are always welcome! ;)

I also enjoy playing poker, although I'm not into the online games yet. My friends gather for a monthly game, and it's co-ed (luckily!), so I've gotten to play a fair amount over the past couple of years, with a reasonable amount of success.

I'd been watching WSOP on ESPN a few years ago and finally got fed up and said to my husband one day "Okay, I want to learn to play poker". We played with nickels for a little while, just 1 on 1 for practice, then we've enjoyed some success in our friendly games with 8-16 players. Not a bad split for 1st, 2nd and 3rd when everybody puts in $10 to play.

One of these days I'll drive the hour or so to A.C. and check out the live action there, but I'm just not that hardcore yet!:thumbsup2

Haha ok thanks...I'll drive up to Mass for the night! Do you ever come down to AC? I still haven't been to Mohegan Sun and I hate Foxwoods.

I dont drive to AC often as its a hike. It would be easier to just fly to Philly to tell you the truth. I havent been to the new mohegan sun poker room but I hear its beautiful. I dont mind the poker room at foxwoods but your right overall foxwoods isnt very impressive. I like the look of mohegan much better.

I stumbled onto this thread accidentally since as a married mother of 4 (mostly grown now except for 1) I usually don't come to the Adults/Solo board.

I play at Poker Stars once in a while, but I play in real life a couple of times or more a week. Small stakes for the most part though. A weekly dealer's choice game every Friday night and 1-2 small-scale local tournaments. Friday nights are my favorite and unless I'm at WDW, there's not much that can make me miss it. It's a group of around 20 or so friends playing at a couple of tables and we play everything from 2-card Hold-Em to King-Lo-Hole (you don't get much wilder than that!).

The one tournament I do play in weekly is just a $10 buy-in for the first half. Gets you $6000 worth of chips, with as many rebuys as you want or need to do for that first half (must be down to $500 worth of chips or less to rebuy). Second half is a $20 buy-in with no re-buys and that gets you $15,000 in chips. We usually have from 20-40 people in that tournament, and 1st-4th place pays. 4th place is pretty much just your money back since it's always $50. 1st through 3rd place varies according to the number of people playing that week and how many rebuys everyone does. 1st place is usually anywhere from $200-$400. As I said, strictly small stakes, but not a bad pay-off for a $30-$50 investment.

I went to one tounament earlier this year with a $500 buy-in and a $15,000 pay-off. I want to do more of those when I have a little more free time. I didn't place, but we had a blast!

Ya I play a weekly home game as well which is alot of fun. I also play at a few local card rooms that have tournaments ranging from $40-$250. I typically dont play higher than $80 just cause thats a lot to be investing on a regular basis. I love that $10 rebuy tourny cause alot of people wouldnt have a problem making multiple rebuys cause of the small fee. My biggest cash was on a rebuy tournament, but I consider myself a sit and go player both online and live.

Mandy, whats local for you?

We have a usual Sunday dealer's choice game, although it's been dead for the summer, and we are getting ready to start up our next Hold 'em league.

We play every other week, $30 buy in. 10 goes to the nights pot and 20 goes to the end of season pot. Play each game for points toward end of season, 4 spots pay out. Play with 10-12 each game, so end pots can get pretty good.

Nightly pots, 2nd gets their 10 back, winner takes the rest.

We play in Camden County and would love to get some women in the games. No smoking, very little drinking, just a friendly game.

On the AC front, I used to be good for a 2 o'clock tourney at the Showboat about once a week, but I have been spending more time in the office lately making that a bit harder.

Looks like I'll be in AC next weekend staying at the Showboat, but will probably take the bus over to Harrah's to play a little there. Anyone else planning on being there?
