Sorry if I posted in the wrong place - I couldn't find a board that seemed appropriate.

Has anyone sited Disney Fairies merchandise for sale at the parks or in Dowtown Disney. Tink is everywhere, of course, but I'm looking for the other fairies, especially Rani.

well i've only been to magic kingdom recently for mvmcp and i saw that they were selling disney fairies merch in most of the shops, even in the shop for splash mountain =) so i'm pretty sure they must be selling them in the other parks and downtown as well. ;)

except with the small plastic rubber figures not a bunch.

I know DL has a few pins released of the other fairies.

They also have all the books that have been released to date.and some other general toys.

I was at the Disney store the other day and they had a whole display of dolls , bedding, nightgowns and I cant remember what else but there was a bunch of stuff.:goodvibes

We were at the Disney Store (brick and mortar) just today, and they have out a large display of Fairies merchandise. Dolls (Barbie size), figurines, Polly Pocket sized dolls, clothing, bedding and bedroom decor, really pretty nightgowns, bathing suit, and 2 beautiful costumes - Tink and Rani (light blue) with matching shoes. My nearly 5 year old was gaga over all of it!

They must be gearing up for the release of the Tinker Bell movie this spring. I think it's a straight to DVD, not a theatrical release. Please correct me if I am wrong. We can't wait til it's out in my house!

I think they pushed the release to 08 for some reason. The stort line was to young for them from the report I read.
DD13 is waiting as well and was hoping to get some more to add to her TINK ROOM in my Sig but nothing caught her eye on tis trip.

Tinkerbell isn't a fairy, is she? I mean, she's got clothes on, which fairies don't, right:confused3 Or have I eaten one too many bowls of fruity pebbles?:cutie:

Just by definition, I dont think Disney could have a fairy character:confused:

Thanks everyone! My soon-to-be 7 y.o. loves Rani. She's going to be so happy!

Sorry but they are marketing Tink and friends as Fairies. Trust me on this one. We are hip deep in Disney Fairies compliments of Santa Claus and a loving aunt. The boxes definitely labeled them as fairies (no matter what they actually are). :santa:

Oops - I forgot to ask specifically about Tink's Treasures at the Magic Kingdom. Are all of the Disney Fairies at Tink's (even though she used to be a pixie)?

Tink is meant to be a fairy by J.M. Barrie, do they use the word fairy in the Disney movie at all? Shame on me for not recalling.

Just for fun, because I love this part of the book/play:

"You see, Wendy, when the first baby laughed for the first time, its laugh broke into a thousand pieces, and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies."
"and so," he went on good naturedly,"there ought to be one fairy for every boy and girl."

"Ought to be? Isn't there?"

"No. You see children know such a lot now, they soon don't believe in fairies, every time a child says 'I don't believe in fairies,' there is a fairy somewhere that falls down dead." Really, he thought they had now talked enough about fairies, and it struck him that Tinker Bell was keeping very quiet. "I can't think where she has gone to," he said, rising, and he called Tink by name. Wendy's heart went flutter with a sudden thrill.

"Peter," she cried, clutching him, "you don't mean to tell me that there is a fairy in this room!"

"She was here just now," he said a little impatiently. "You don't hear her, do you?" and they both listened.

"The only sound I hear," said Wendy, "is like a tinkle of bells."

"Well, that's Tink, that's the fairy language. I think I hear her too."

I have not been to Disney since May, but I am sure it is everywhere. The last few times we have gone to the Disney Store, the majority of new merchandise is "Faries!"

FAIRY! :)

Tink is called a Fairy in Peter Pan, Return to Neverland.

Peter to Jane, "And because you don't believe in fairies, Tink's light is going out!"

PS - Pixies are evil - don't you ever watch Fairly Oddparents? :hippie: :rotfl:

Ok...Tink is a fairy but she carries Pixie Dust for flying?!??! I wonder where she got that magical dust from?

Pixies are naughty but Tink can be a handfull at times....

She is definately a Fairy but maybe she's been spending a little time with the pixie folk...lol.
