Any Disney Execs read these forums? Disney can do better and here's how...

I'll start.

There are many people waiting to book Dessert Parties and Candlelight Processional packages. Many dates are now clickable but when you search, you get the dreaded:

No tables available around xx:xx AM to xx:xx PM on Sunday, December xx, 2017.Select a different date or time, or change your party size, and search again.

What does this really mean though? Some say you just can't book them yet (which is my belief). Some say they have talked to CM's and have been told they're all fully booked already (doubtful). Why can't your website tell us which one of these it is. People are wasting precious time, getting up early every morning to check, checking multiple times throughout the day, EVERY SINGLE DAY. If they are fully booked, say so. If the dates are not open yet, say so. It can't be that difficult!

Okay, glad I got that off my chest.

I'm one of the crazies checking daily. What really peeves me is that they made them available to people going to the hard ticket parties already. I guess when people are double paying they get higher priority.

I would doubt it. I don't think they make the big bucks to read the dis forums.

I am definitely going to this lecture to be given at a medical meeting I am attending at the Orange County Convention Center. Who Gives Disney World a One Star Review and What Do You Do About It? Sunday, October 8 5:00-6:00 p.m. One hour hardly seems like enough time - hope the crowd control is good. And I will have a little time to bend management ears at this tour led by executives (low level, no doubt)

Disney: Business Behind the Magic

This 4-hour tour features concepts and illustrations from the professional development courses offered by Disney Institute and shows how they come to life each day at the Walt Disney World® Resort for Cast Members and Guests. You will explore the following locations:

FLO (Fourth Laundry Operation)
Visit a state-of-the-art laundry facility, one of the largest in the world, to see how committed, responsible, inspiring leaders are able to motivate a team to achieve amazing results.
Epcot® Cast Services
Experience the backstage area from a Cast Member perspective. See how the Walt Disney World® Resort creates a supportive environment for the Cast Members as they prepare to go on stage. Discover the important role backstage areas play in creating a caring environment.
Main Street. U.S.A.®
Take a stroll through this turn-of-the-century walkway inside the Magic Kingdom® Theme Park to better understand how we strive to exceed the expectations of our Guests with our people, place and process.
The “Utilidor” System
Journey beneath the Magic Kingdom® Park to visit support systems designed to improve the experiences of Cast Members and Guests alike. Discover how we use simple tools to engage and empower Cast Members to create lasting customer relationships that drive repeat business and customer loyalty.

The complaint of the original poster is one of my pet peeves.
I am really looking forward to this.

Does anyone know who will be reading the Christmas Story this year? I can't wait to book our package for this! I feel like planning is at a standstill while I wait for this date!

There are different celebrity narrators. I think they stay 2 or 3 nights, then the next one does it.

I personally wish that they would completely overhaul the website. It is pathetic when it comes to many things.

And get an 800 number!

to your original question: No, I don't think Disney execs are reading these boards
If you have any complaints the best thing you can do, to get any type of feedback from Disney is email them at:
wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com

I don't think that execs are reading this forum but I can surely bet that someone is. Most big companies have a social media division where they do nothing but scour social media to see what people are saying about them. And that division sends reports to somebody higher up.

And yes, I agree with OP. Please differentiate between "not yet open for bookings" and "Booked up"

I sent an email about the dessert parties, but I have a feeling a canned response is all I will get back.
That hasn't been the case with personal experience. If you leave your phone number they call you back within a couple of days

I am not sure a forum of any kind is the way to make a point with Disney. If you feel strongly enough about a change that you want made, I would send an email to guest relations, and include all your contact information. I do not believe any complaints on a forum have the same weight as one that someone took the time to send directly to a company has.

it's bad enough that they don't tell us if something is already booked up or not yet released, but even worse is that if you call in and ask, you'll be given one answer from one CM and a different answer from another CM -- they are completely clueless for the most part!
