What, if any, discounts have historically been available over Thanksgiving?

Thanks!

Pam

I'm not sure that there are a lot of discounts the week of Thanksgiving. I do know that we are always able to get either a DC, AAA or AP discount arriving the Saturday after Thanksgiving and staying that following week. Typically at a moderate the rate is anywhere between $84-95 before tax.

For some reason, I am thinking that Thanksgiving week is one similar to Christmas week and that there are fewer discounts. Last year may have been the exception. Perhaps someone knows for sure.

My 2002 DC info shows that DC discounts are offered. (15% off rack for Deluxe and Home Away From Home, and 20% off rack for the others) I know discounted rooms are limited, so you will have to call to see if any are left. Good luck!

I spent this past Thanksgiving at WDW! I got a 40% AP discount!
awesome!'
thanksgiving week is value season, so there usually are good discounts!

here's hoping the same for this year!!! :)

Laura :)

4 days til WDW!!! yipeeeeeeeeeeeee :) :) :)

Thanksgiving falls in value season and I don't think they hike up the price for that weekend.

Typically, there are no discounts for AP during Thanksgiving (except for last year). This year, there is a good possibility there will be discounts again, based on what I have read. I'm hoping myself.

last night who said right now there is only DC discounts but to watch for AP rates ( NOT GUARENTEED ) about 3 months prior to the holidays .. Lets keep our fingers crossed
I also went last year about the same time (12/01-12/15 ) and got and AP Rate at CBR -- spoiled me to the ends of the earth now always will have to stay on site.. paid 84 plus tax .. so I have booked with the DC discount and fingers crossed on AP

I just reserved a room for Thanksgiving week (arriving Saturday before) at the ASMo for $69 including tax with a AAA discount. I didn't inquire about rates for moderate or deluxe resorts, as I'm trying to keep this a budget vacation. I will also keep checking for AP rates or other discounts to see if I can get an even better deal.

I'm hoping for a $69 at ASMo too! I don't have AAA, but could the DC be a comparable discount? I'm trying to get the numbers together to convince my DH. Thanks! Sandy

We are going 11/23-11/29. All Star Movies $69/night including tax with DC discount.
