Any discounts or codes available for Dec. 17-22nd, 2008?

A friend of mine just booked a package through the Disney website yesterday. She paid whatever came up on the computer. I told her she needed to see if there were any discount codes she could apply to their reservation. Back in September, we booked with code UVL for the Deluxe dining. They also had code QXD for the regular dining plan. Does anyone know if these codes are still good or if there are any other ones she could use? They are not members of AAA and they don't have a Visa either.

I have the Disney Visa free dining package booked for those exact same dates! We got a moderate resort for $1100 total - including one day tickets.

I just changed from POFQ to CSR, and (yeah!) wasn't charged any change fee, as the lady said, it was a lateral move. She mentioned to me on the phone that the Disney Visa free dining promotion ended, which I was unaware of.

If the friend is in the military, I do know there is a "Thank You Military" promotion going on. I forget the code, but one cast member told me about it.

There is a room only code on Disney's website for a fall special - I don't know if it's still there, though.

Your friend can book a room only package for a discount if they want!

We booked for almost the same time frame--got the room only discount for AKL--four nights for $860 incl taxes.

I just changed our reservation to the AKL - 5 nights with one day ticket and dining for $1570.96. I checked, and it was 30% off the room plus free dining. I couldn't resist - much rather be there than a moderate!

Yes, I have the Disney Visa. They have the code, but if you call it's QXZ. You have to pay at least the deposit with the Disney Visa. I had to pay the whole thing, as I booked less than 45 days out, but it was a great deal. I honestly don't think I've gotten such a good price before.

If you have the Visa, it's great! I think that you can get preapproved quickly if you don't have it.
