Any Discount offered Dec. 29- Jan. 5th? Last year

I know that Value season kicks in Jan 1st. I was wondering if there were any discounts last year from after X-mas through the 1 week in Jan.? Anyone know? Thanks.

Last year using a code we gota discount ont he FW cabins of $159 a night. My cousin also went and she was slated to stay at PO for $89 a night but because of closing she got the Poly for the same price. So the discounts were there last Xmas,

I believe that you had to book them to start no later than Xmas day to get the deal.
At least if you were booking a room with an AP discount.

I could be wrong though......

I checked in Dec 31 for one week.
If I checked in Dec 31 I would have had to pay the holiday high rate the entire stay. Couldn't even check in on the 31st and the check back in with the lower rate as they had a 3 night min. stay so would have had to pay high rate first 3 nights. Got fed up and booked the Dolphin for 31st 1 night - got an AP rate of 175 (was higher than usual due to holiday) then checked into the POR for AP rate of 89 the rest of the week.

There were no discounts last year for arrivals 12/26 - 12/31. Even last year, there was no need for Disney to do this.

If you are planning to go during this time this year, I'd plan on making two separate reservations. For the first ressie, you'll have to pay rack rate (for 12/29 - 12/31). Then for your second ressie, you can pay value season rates for the remainder of your stay and perhaps even get a discount. Good luck!

I am a DVC member and I have two studios that we booked and cannot use. I have a daughter going to college, and we cannot make the trip this year. One is at BWV for 12/29-1/3 for 5 nights Preferred View that I booked the first day and VWl for 12/29-1/2 for 4 nights if you are interested. Email me with an other questions.
