Of course my planning is late at best. Anyone have any suggestions. I'm on the dining plan so I'd like a couple of dinners and maybe a charater breakfest. But my inital thought is to just book dinners and not worry about the rest.

LMK your thoguhts.

Thanks

Dana

Go over to the December wanted/trade/cancelled thread. You might be hard pressed to find anything through Disney Dining at this point.

I was in the same boat - planned a late trip and then felt I couldn't/wouldn't get the ADRs I wanted. I initially decided against "free" dining because I didn't think I would get ADRs. And I couldn't get Le Cellier, Cal Grill, or CRT (go figure) but I did get a CP package and LTT. Yesterday with only one week to go I added the "free" dining to my trip and got the following: The Wave, Spoodles and Brown Derby (I probably would not have gone for these if I didn't have "free" dining but hey! its "free" right.) There were a couple of character meals available as well but I had already had one. I guess my point is keep trying and be flexible (location and time) - as others on this board kindly advised me to do when I was bummed about not getting what I wanted initially.

I also found it very helpful to look at my park plan and then use www.allears.net to look at nearby restaurants and their menus. In addition keep in mind the cancellation policy for any meals guaranteed by CC. This may help guide you when calling Disney dining for the locations you are interested in. Finally, I realize it is a weekend for you but keep trying even once you get there. When I inquired about the chances of a "walk-up" for any TS the CM told me that as soon as they have "no-shows" at TS restaurants they are reported back to the Disney-Dining-System-In-the-Sky and those spaces are filled.

Good luck!

I had my choice of times at some of the not so popular, but still decent, restaurants between 12/26 and 1/1. I think we ended up with 9 dragons, yak & yeti, Tokyo dining, 50s prime time and Kona (me dd loves asian foods, can you tell?). I couldn't get Le Cellier :sad1: , but we're still happy with what we could get! You could also try Olivia's and Turf Club, the Gallery at the Yacht Club, the Cafe at Grand Floridian.
