I'm considering our first Christmas-time trip to WDW and would like the lowest crowds possible. I still want to be able to experience all of the events that occur this time of year. Would the crowd level be about the same for Dec. 3-8 trip as a Dec. 10-15 trip? Would all of the same events occur? Thanks so much! :)

We went the second week in December this past year and walked on most rides at MK the first few hours in the a.m. and mid-afternoon until night. The waits for Pooh and Pan never exceeded 20 minutes at the busiest times. At Epcot, we walked on Test Track (they didn't even let me see the pre-attraction movie clip thing) and my husband walked on Mission Space. We waited 10 minutes for Crush. At MGM we walked on RnR, ToT, and Star Tours. It was heaven!!! :cloud9: Unfortunately, we are so spoiled that we were considering not going on March 1st, as we aren't sure we can handle the lines anymore! :rotfl2:

We were originally supposed to travel the first week in December but rescheduled b/c of Pop Warner, which is scheduled for that same week this year. Although most people say that it's ok w/ Pop Warner, I believe the second week in December is still better. The Christmas decorations are up all of December, I believe. Check www.touringplans.com for their crowd predictions. I think the second week looks better. JMO.

We were there Dec 10 thru 15 2005 for our first holiday timed trip and I would definatly go again at this time of the year :thumbsup2 . When our DME(Magical Express) driver picked us up at the airport that day, we arrived in Orlando at 10:30 am he told us on the way over to our resort (All Star Movies) that 20,000 people were checking out that day and that we were lucky to be arriving that day. When we got to ASMo for the first time EVER in all my trips I walked right up to the check in desk- seriously no line to check in!!! :teeth: I could not say the same for the airline check in line that is also in the lobby oh my gosh!!!!! :sad2: No our room wasn't ready but I'd prepared for that so we ate lunch and made tracks to MK...As the previous poster said walk up to most things. I actually took a picture of our wait time at Test Track- 5 minutes which it wasn't even close to that unles it took you that long to walk thru the empty queue line. If you are looking for must do suggestions. Candlelight Processional booked with a dinner package and we also VERY much enjoyed Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The holiday storytellers at EPCOT were good too. DD6 used them as homework for school.
Osbourne Light....make sure you do your homework before you go there is just so much to do. party:

Thank you so much for your replies. I was hoping to go the 2nd week, as my DD will be turning 6 on Dec.14th. It would be so special to celebrate there. My other two kids have July birthdays, and I don't think I'll ever want to brave the crowds and heat for a birthday celebration then. :sunny:

We were there from the 8th until the 23rd of December. It was not real crowed most days. It got worse as Christmas got closer.
