I have been a David Bowie follower since the early '80s when I was in junior high. I've seen him twice in concert in Dallas. He's on tour now but not coming anywhere near Texas this time. Now he and I are happily married, although not to each other ;) . And because Disney has taken over his spot as my pop culture favorite, I'm not willing to spend Disney trip money to fly somewhere to see him. Now why couldn't he do a show in Orlando?

Has anyone seen him or will you see him this time around? If so, can I live vicariously through your experience?

I saw him back in 1990... and it was a fantastic show. Fortunately he didn't play that many of the 80's stuff, but more of the classic things..

I had decent seats as well...

An old boyfriend turned me on to Bowie, with his "Diamond Dogs" 8-track! (yep, I'm old!)

I'd like to own it again on CD someday.

I've heard a few cuts from his latest and it sounded like his old stuff, pre 1980's, at least I thought so. I liked it.

No plans to see him however.

I believe that his semi-trucks were blocking traffic in downtown Cleveland yesterday. I guess that means he's playing here tonight.

Well, shoot. If only I'd known. I could have seen DB and TC in the same trip ::yes::

I LOVE David Bowie! I think he's the coolest 50-something year old man on earth!! My apologies Dan Murphy!

My faves: Let's Dance and Modern Love. I have an 80s tape that I just boogied off of on my 7 hour trip to Orlando last week. My son was  the whole time!
:p

That's okay, Robin, a few more months and I move up a decade. :p

I think he is pretty good too, music.

I'm a big Bowie fan, too!! My boyfriend in high school got me interested in his music, this was the late 70's. I saw David Bowie in concert in NYC at Madison Square Garden. He doesn't sound like his recordings when he sings "live", he somewhat changes the styles of the songs.

Anyway....I LOVE mainly his older stuff. From the 90's on, I wasn't overly thrilled with his music. I think his last good song was "Heroes" But give me Diamond Dogs, Alladin Sane, Changes, TVC 15, etc and I'm happy :p
