My family and I are going to LA and following my 12 yr old daughter to Disneyland. She is dancing there on June 16! My 6 yr old son and 16 yr old daughter don't even know we are going yet because we want to suprise our 12 yr old. Anyway, I'd like to know of any restaurants/breakfast with Mickey, shows, etc at Disneyland or surrounding area that I should make reservations for before we get there. I'd hate to arrive to find out of a cool place we can't get into because I didn't research enough. Thanks ahead of time!

Hi Dee,

Most of the restaurants in the parks do not take reservations. If you would like to take her to a great character meal, try Goofy's Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel (Mickey usually makes an appearance) and I would suggest making reservations in advance just to be safe.

I am sure you will get some other great suggestions here.

Have a wonderful time!! :)

I can highly recommend lunch at the Blue Bayou in Disneyland. It's located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It is a wonderfully relaxing way to take a midday break. They omly take same day reservations though, so just head over there sometime in the first hour of park opening and make your reservations for later that day. DS and I are HOOKED on the Monte Cristo sandwich (we split it as it is huge). DH is hooked on the Jambalaya. I think I mispelled that word...I'm sorry :-)

We also had lunch one day at Avalon Cove, at Paradise Pier in DCA. It was outstanding! The service and food was truly wonderful. AND, they brough the kids' food right away, so they could eat and then go play at Paradise Pier while DH and I enjoyed a very leisurely lunch! They came back and hour later and joined us for dessert. Same day ressies there as well, but you can go to guest relations as you enter the park and they'll call up for you OR, just stop by the restaurant to make them.
