Any confirmation on MK meal plus?

I have seen threads where people have heard about a new meal plus deal at MK. I have not however seen a post from anyone who has used this. Is this definitely happening? Has anybody done this and if so what restaurants participate? I loved this deal at AK so would love to see it at MK too.

the CM at disney dining didn't know what I was talking about. She could barely book my PS! She transferred me to the Travel company. The CM thought I was talking about the silver plan. No. I had to tell her what they are! She has me on hold to check.

According to the CM, AK doesn't have them but she gave me the guest services number for AK to check. I said I was calling about them at MK! Can you give me the guest services number at MK? No. Don't know that number. Put me on hold again....geesh.

Got transferred to a switchboard operator. She put me on hold while she asked someone about it. Came back and said that it is something that I have to ask about in person. ????

Is this the kind of guest services I have to look forward to in 2 weeks? Sorry but I'm annoyed. It only took them 30 minutes to tell me that they don't know anything.

I called MK GR today and was told no, they do not offer the meal plus.

I finally recieved the following response today from the Mouse...


Thank you for contacting WALT DISNEY WORLD!
The Walt Disney World Resort is constantly working with our "Imagineers" and
evaluating new ideas for further enhancing our attraction and entertainment
offerings in the parks. At this time, no plans relating to your inquiry have
been announced.


At least at this time it is not official. They may be running test days with Meal Plus, but they will not say.

Conspiracy theory of the day : they're only available at AK on purpose, because it may keep people in the park longer. Think about it. We hear on these very boards all the time about people doing AK in a few hours then heading to another park or back to their resort. But if you go in the morning, eat lunch with the Meal Plus, surely you'd stick around for another 2 or 3 hours after lunch until you're hungry again for your MP snack and water.

(I think I need a hobby. )

2 or 3 hours - LOL It only took us about 30 minutes to decide we needed some popcorn, then of course - you get popcorn you gotta have water!!!
