anyone know what the correct setting are for internet explorer on teh LAN settings?

thanks!

Go into Internet Options (Connections Tab) and choose settings for proxy. If you do not use a Proxy Server then nothing should be selected on this pop-up.

DO NOT CHECK this box

??
do I need a proxy server? it's a wireless connection that I normally use to connect.

No, you don't need a Proxy Server for normal WIFI operations. I've seen this boxed get set after running malware clean up. I'm thinking that it's probably a virus that tried to hijack your browser and point to a proxy server that they had set up.

Un-check the box, shutdown your browser and restart it.
