We are thinking of trying this place during our upcoming September trip, but when I checked the reviews there weren't any recent ones.

We have eaten there several times and the food has always been pretty good. Nothing that will knock your socks off, but decent. Now if you like craft beers this is one of the best places in Disney. Those are really good. We have never eaten inside because it reminds me of eating inside a kitchen and it has a funky smell. Definitely eat at a table outside. You are right on the Boardwalk!

My husband and I have eaten there 3 times. Once for dinner and twice for lunch.

We had our dinner outside ( October ) - it was really nice out on the boardwalk.
Our lunches were both inside - last December - too cold/rainy/windy to eat outside & just a week ago - TOO HOT to eat outside.

The food is moderately priced and I would compare it in style to "Applebee's or Ruby Tuesday"(without the salad bar).

The beers they brew are all quite good - if you don't know which one to order they will bring you out a tiny sample glass to taste it first

What is also especially nice, is that you don't have to make ADRs - you might have a short wait, but the pagers have a pretty decent range and you can walk the Boardwalk while you wait

I've eaten there a few times when I wasn't able to get dining reservations anywhere else and found the food to be decent and the service was good. One year we ate outside on the boardwalk which was nice. They have a great selection of beers here too which is a plus if you are interested in that.

My husband and I walked over there for lunch when we stayed at the Beach Club. He really wanted to try it since he loves trying new beer. We only ordered appetizers and drinks, but they were pretty good, definitely agree with the Applebee's comment. I will say, we had the most awful service ever though, and I mean ever, not just at WDW.

Thank you for all the feedback. I had read some mixed reviews, but sounds like it's worth a shot as long as my expectations aren't too high :-)

Nothing fabulous foodwise but not bad. Just regular old chain restaurant food. Pretty good beer (better than a lot of WDW beer selections)

It has a funky smell because they brew beer on premises.

We ate there this past February. Food was pretty good; not quite up to Rock Bottom or Granite City (2 chain brewpubs) standards, but good portion size and good enough. Inside was pretty tight and was quite loud. It was much too cold and wet to eat outside....if weather permits, I'd much rather sit out on the patio there and enjoy the sights.

We'll probably go back.

The beer is the better part of the restaurant, the food is OK, on par with ESPN food. If you can tolerate the heat, September is still quite warm, get a table outside, the view and a cold beer helps make up for the food and lack of ambiance inside.

They make a really good burger and the beers are great. Definitely agree with the others. Sit outside. Its nice to sit out on the boardwalk and enjoy the sites while enjoying your beer.

True story:

We were at a wedding a couple of weeks ago, and ended up being seated with an ex-Hoop-De-Doo actress (she played the "ditzy" blonde) and an ex-Disney Cruise Line CM. She noticed my Mickey watch and asked if we were Disney fans, which started a great round of conversation.

They told us that their favorite place to go was Big River, not so much for the food, but for the $6 micro-brew flights. They said it was the best beer deal on property.

I think that's a pretty good recommendation, and we're definitely going to check it out this year. Even if it's not the "best" deal, it sure sounds like a good one.

Went once and that was enough. I mean it was good but there are so much better places than here.

We ate there when we stayed at BWV. Burgers, nachos and beer were good, kids enjoyed the kids' meals, too. Beer delicious. Second meal inside - noisy, bad service and a meat loaf that had a crusty, unchewable side. I didn't notice until I was at the end of the meal, so I didn't send it back. Pointed it out to the server who was totally nonchalant, didn't even apologize.

So, my opinion is - yes if you're staying there and like burgers and beer. No, if you are planning a special trip to eat there.
