Do we have any College Hockey fans on here? If yes, which team do you follow? Anyone going to be at the Frozen Four in Boston come April?

based on the location, I'd guess that you're probably a fan of a team which is hosting WMU in the 1st round of the CCHA playoffs this week. (also a team which handed my favorite team their only sweep of the season on the last weekend in feb)

College hockey is GLORIOUS however, my team didn't perform too well this year, so I'm boycotting the playoffs

I go to Northeastern, in case you were all wondering. We were in the basement of Hockey East the whole season.

Hopefully next year with all our freshman having a year under their belts we'll pick things up. The whole loosing the first nine games didn't work too well for us.

Well.......I was going to just say "see my signature"......

...but I'm a bit upset with my alma mater today.....
DD got her letter from BC admissions today and it read "we regret to inform you...blah blah blah...nothing personal but...too many highly qualified candidates for the limited number of spaces". She's been accepted everywhere else she's applied...so this is surprising and upsetting.

Anyway her other top choice for college (where it looks like she'll be attending) is DH's alma mater...UNH!
(Hockey season is always interesting in our house ).....
so since they are BOTH playing in the northeast regional next weekend in Manchester......and we have tickets....I'm not at all sure who I'll be rooting for if they both make it out of the first round into the regional final game!

Go Gophers!!! The MN / ND game was a nail-biter to watch! Glad our Gophers were able to pull it out though - very exciting!!!

hmm ... DIS meet at the VerizonWirelessArena? Since Michigan got shipped out east, I've decided to drive from Syracuse to Manchester to watch the regional games. Don't know yet where my seats will be ... somewhere in the UM section. (look for the Syracuse hat, and the cowbell ... don't know if I can manage a lime green ribbon or not)

Now that the brackets are out ... anyone have any Frozen Four predictions?

Did anyone see Maine's spectacular win over Harvard last night?? A lot of people thought it was the end of Maine hockey when we lost Shawn Walsh... but he would be oh so proud to see his Black Bears now! Go U Maine!
