what is a code? my family will be going in october 2005.

They are discount codes for the Disney resorts, usually room only. They are a great deal if you can get them. Keep an eye on the resort board since they are posted there pretty fast when they come available. Also, mousesavers.com can give you all the codes available now :)

DId they just release more codes? Last night I checked and there was nothing past April 16. They usually release them only a few months before.

Hi!

I haven't seen any codes for October yet - but which codes did you see for July? I'm trying to decide between AP's or MYW - we already purchased and booked rooms on the MYW plan but don't know if we should switch to AP's... :confused3

Thanks,
Ely

the code that expires in july is BEG. Hope it helps!

That was a post card rate (where you have to have a PIN#) that someone posted. Post Card Pins are for that person only and it should never have been posted. Alot of people tried to use it and were turned down. I was one of those. I was told that if a CM had accidently booked it at that rate, then at check-in I would have been charged the full rack rate, when the Pin didn't show up in my file in the computer and I wouldn't be able to produce the post card. Some good did come out of that post however, because alot of people called about it and found they had a PIN attached to their file and didn't even know it. Consequently they were able to get a good discounted rate on their rooms. That particular post was deleted from the disBoards as Post Card PINs are not supposed to be publicized and are only legal for the person who received the post card. It caused alot of confusion and in some cases where a CM unknowingly booked it, people are going to wind up having to pay rack rates when they check in.

Keep an eye out here or over on moussavers.com for AP and anyone Codes. They will be three letter codes like BEG, EWV, BDW, etc. No PIN # will be required. The current codes out, expire in mid-April, so new codes (if any) should be out soon. This time last year they came out around March 9th I believe. I'm waiting for a May Code :Pinkbounc .

The cast member I spoke with said they are cutting down on people using codes they don't qualify for. When I was there in January, I did a split stay at WL and AKL. I had used an AP Code to book our rooms. The AKL asked to see my AP at check-in, but the WL did not. The CM at AKL, also said they are being told to start checking, if a PIN# or AP doesn't show up in the computer. I had just validated my AP a few days before, so mine didn't show up yet (she said).

Hi Welcome to DIS! The only code that I am aware of that is out for March is the code that we used to book our stay, which will be March 21-30. But these were Annual Passholder codes, which can only be used by people who have Annual Passes, and unfortunatly, there are no more rooms available for that length of time at the discount price, as I tried to book that time for my parents who wanted to visit while we were there. :sad2:

Also as a side note, when I tried to book a room for them on the 22-24th (of March) at WDW, the website was telling em that there were no rooms available except for a 2 bedroom suite at Coronado Springs. :earseek: :earseek: It was $2,000.00+ for two nights! I could never afford that kind of pricetag! So if I were you, I'd get on the phone soon with a CM, as it seems that the World may very well be booked solid for Spring Break (which seems to be the last two weeks of March). You could always hope for a cancellation though.... good luck! princess:
