My future DH is thinking of transfering to Orlando in the next few years, and I was thinking it would be fun to work for Disney. I was wondering how hard it is to get a job in the parks or one of the resorts. I've checked Disney's job website, and hardly any entry level posistions were listed. I've worked 7 years as a travel agent, 2 of which were in a busy call center. I was thinking of working for the resort reservations call center, or front desk at one of the resorts (I'm sure I'd need to go back to school and get some type of hospitality degree or certificate for the front desk).

How difficult is it to get a job with Disney? And what do you think of the experiance?

Very simple. :) For hourly roles you walk in to central casting (looks kind of a like a castle near I-4 and DTD) and fill out an application any day M-F from 9:00am to 4:00pm. You can also call (407) 828-1000.

Best bet is to take about anything offered, you can transfer after six months, and those with good performance reviews have a leg up.

Last I knew, most current openings were for various PI/DTD roles working late afternoon/early evening to close, housekeeping, and a few odds and ends of p/t positions.

Good luck.

Thanks, everyone! I'd already checked most of the links posted, but thanks for the help!

Future DH won't transfer til after we are married, and that won't be for a year or more, so this won't be anytime soon. I'm just doing a little advance research.
