Any CMs "confirming" the FD rumor?

For what its worth I have a "game on" pin that expires in about a week that is only for 10% off room only so I thought I would go ahead and call to apply that before it expired and see if I could fish for some free dining info. I mentioned that 10% off wasn't really what I was hoping for and that I would really love it if a free dining promotion came out and asked her if it would be a problem to change it (knowing it wouldn't be) if it came out later. She said (paraphrasing here)... "It won't be a problem at all to change it, but you have plenty of time before this expires, you may just want to check the special offers on the website and call back in a couple days".

I kind of took that as a "you may as well not bother adding this pin code to your reservation cause you will be changing to free dining in a couple of days" but who knows... she wouldn't outright come out and say "it is coming out on XXX date" I even asked point blank "So is it going to be coming out soon then?" and she said "Right now we only have free dining available for august and september dates"

Enough reports do now suggest that indeed, a free dining offer will be out tomorrow.

On another thread a poster has put out the limited 2012 FD dates. Nothing between April and July.

The CM I got said he couldn't book free dining for January TODAY (the 2nd), but he told me to check the website tomorrow (the 3rd) to see if anything was posted or to try calling back tomorrow. He said, "you never know what will pop up tomorrow" with a strong, strong emphasis on TOMORROW. Definitely sounded like a hint to me!

Some people on the other thread are saying they got CM's to book it for them tonight. others said they tried and no luck. Regardless, I think there is enough confirmation that something is coming in the am!!

CM today said "How can I put this?...Tomorrow would be a great day to call back and make a new reservation" I'm convinced!!!

My TA's facebook page said big discounts will be announced tomorrow. Now let's just hope her info came from Disney and not from here.

This by no means any type of confirmation, however, I was speaking with a CM yesterday (modifying a reservation) and she casually mentioned that "if any special offer codes are announced in the near future you can call back and we will apply it to your reservation."

In my personal experience, no CM has ever made a comment like that to me - I've always had to ask.

I got the same exact comment a week ago when I called to ask about pin codes, etc. He said 'you can book and apply a discount later if you like' -- I was inquiring about a late October trip

I already have a trip booked for December. I called tonight to make a payment and asked the CM if she knows anything about the rumor that free dining is starting tomorrow. She told me she just found out about it today from a caller and that it actually started today. She was able to apply free dining to both their vacation and my vacation. But I know others that have called today and they are being told free dining is not available yet. Hang in there. I think a lot of it depends on the CM you get and how informed they are. I booked my trip very early this year and have made several changes. The CM's really vary with their experience and information.

Once it is public, do you know when it will be on the website. I don't have an existing reservation and I was trying to decide if I should call or use the website.

All discounts are on the website as soon as they become public. We can answer more questions that you may have over the phone though. If you need to book more than one room, definitely call. It doesn't actually link the rooms together online like we do.

Wondering, is it required to buy tix with the room for the FD? And do they exclude the Fort?

All dining exclusive packages, with the exception of military, AP, or cast member offers require that tickets be included in the package. Again, I can't say whether FD is coming out tomorrow or not. But previously the campsites at FW have been excluded from FD offers, while the cabins were included.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering about changing my dates to include the Aug/Sept promo, but if the campsites aren't included it's a no go. Maybe next time back at POP

Not too many promos include the campsites. Sometimes room only offers do. They're excluded from military offers, but not AP or FL res. They're so hugely popular though.

I didn't read through the whole post, but I will say that SEVERAL travel agents on facebook are confirming free dining but don't have official dates yet.

Yes, that is true. We open at 7am Est.
