Any chronic "I can't make up my mind"-ers here?

I'm a pretty serious planner, and I'd be content to make ADRs a year in advance if I could. But I can also second guess myself. DW cracks me up: "It's just a MEAL, for cryin' out loud!" ;)

In reading other posts, I get a kick out of how many folks struggle acutely in trying to make up their minds on a dining spot. Or, once they've made their choice, they fret and waffle and ask for advice or affirmation. Maybe they read a bad review, panic, and change their ADRs.

That's not a bad thing, necessarily ... folks are all hard-wired differently. So I was just curious - how many of y'all make a choice and stick with it, or change your minds, or analyze until you're paralyzed? And if you're wanting to try someplace new, how do you make that selection?

Just curious. I thought about posting a poll, but there are just too many variables for it to be brief.

I have ripped apart/ shredded /put back together all our adr's - we are first timers. I have read lots of reviews, and really notice what is said here, a couple of our ressies I was not certain about keeping, and have been rest assured by the dis boards. a couple of others, those i changed.
for a variety, we planned 3 TS meals at resorts, one at a
Boardwalk restaurant, 2 in parks.
really studing menu's helped me. yes, my DH thinks I stress over it, but I am a type A, and proud of it....

I have called and changed or cancelled adr's 3 times already for our October trip and I have to call and cancel one and add two today. I don't let bad reviews scare me because everyone has a different opinion on what's good food and I like some places that get bad reviews here my problem this trip is my mother. She's a non planner and doesn't even want to hear about where we are going to eat 4 months in advance, well she goes and watches a show on the food network about Disney restaurants and now she has an opinion and of course I don't have those restaurants booked. So I get those worked in after reworking my itinerary and she finds out about the Eat to the Beat concert and I have to change things around again so we can be at Epcot on that evening. :faint:

I'm beginning to think that being able to book 180 days out is more of a curse than a good thing. It just gives me 90 extra days to change things around.

I leave in 9 days and have changed my ADRs at least 6 to 10 times. The first or so times were because the person who was going with me changed from a close friend to my roommate and then back to the close friend. Both being picky eaters caused this change. Then I changed it again when I heard about the SOA dinner at Poly. Then changed again because I read about how great Le Cellier was. So instead of going to Big River Grille and paying OOP, I decided to use my TS at Le Cellier. This also caused me to change the ADR at Fulton's from dinner to lunch just in hopes since this is OOP that it would be less expensive at lunch. Then I changed it again yesterday because I realized our flight might not make it in time for our lunch ADR so I booked later at another restaurant that I knew we'd eat less at so we would be still be hungry for our dinner ADR at Chefs de France. But I haven't really changed anything based on bad reviews. Though I have read some really great reviews about Boma and Beaches N Cream that make me want to try those. Guess they'll have to wait until next trip. :)

LOL - I'm all set except due to timing, I'm having one SIgnature Table Service dinner. Right now I've got an ADR for Jiko, but do I really want that, or do I want California Grill, or Artist's Point sounds really good, and I've never tried Citrico's or Narcoossee, or would I rather have what's supposed to be a fantastic steak at the Yachtsman... :)

I'm dithering constantly over the ADR's I have made and they took a lot of deciding in the first place! Cali Grill is a definite - my hubby requested we return there, otherwise I have tried to choose places we didn't go to last time. Now I wonder if going back where I enjoyed is better than trying somewhere new....oh dear!! Then I am affected by negative reviews!! :rotfl2: I'm a lost cause!! :teeth:

Haven't made one change since making them. I figured I would make the ressies then work around them for spending time in the park. Last time I was there was 7 years ago so everything will be new :sunny:

While in the midst of the decision making it seems harrowing, I actually think it's part of the fun of the planning and anticipation of your trip. Yes, we ALWAYS change our minds and cancel some AR's and make others. This past trip I begged for suggestions and made too few AR's and couldn't get in anywhere at certain times without one.

Oh yeah, this is me. I have called dining every day since we booked our trip last week.

As I get closer to the time I need to make my ADR's I will have driven my family out the door. After I make them I will continue to obsess that I may have made a mistake and will then go over the plans again and again, and then adjust the times or the places we eat. Ohwell, for me it is part of the joy of planning. My family calls it something else....but they thank me.

Thanks goodness I am not the only one. My laundry is piling up and I don't get enough sleep as because I keep reading the dining boards. LOL Now I am limiting myself to 30 mins per day. I have changed my ADR's a few times but I have also added some as I just found out USF, IOA and Seaworld (we are doing 1 day at each) close relatively early and we WILL be able to rush back for that dinner ADR. They only TS we have ever eaten at is Sci-Fi and LeCellier so this is a real treat for us. Unfortunately, in Canada, there is not a toll free number to call. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
