any chance to see illuminations with 7:40 Teppan Edo res

Any chance of getting reasonable views of Illuminations with a 7:40 reservation at Teppan Edo? I think the meal may be over by 9, but in early June (Sunday, 6/5), is there a chance of viewing the show near Japan? I've heard that is a good spot to view, but never done it.

I will keep trying for an earlier reservation, but I'm doubtful.

It wouldn't be a problem to us! You'll have some people in front of you watching Illuminations, but personally I don't really mind. You should probably turn up about 15 min early for your ressie though, most of the time we do, they'll let us in a lot earlier. Hope you enjoy it, I LOVE Teppan Edo

You could just stay on second floor where the restaurant is and watch illumination. You exit out from the restaurant (do not take the elevator) and there is balcony around the building.
You have unblocked view from high above and there's usually not many people. Last year, ouf family watched with 3 other people.

I had no idea there is a balcony. That makes my day. I will try for that, and I had planned on arriving early, so that may help as well.
