I've heard no, only early booking savings now. There isn't much of a savings in early booking unfortunately. Anyone heard differently that could give me hope for some type of discount to be announced?

Trying to book the same week we sailed this year is coming up over $1000 more than we paid this year. Why such an increase???

If it doesn't come down... it may be RC's new ship for us (Navigator). I can't justify $1200 more than the same cabin type on RC's new ship. And it doesn't make sense to pay that much more when the shows on DCL will likely all be the same as this year too.

:(

The prices will come down if more people feel the way you do. If the prices stay firm, then I guess there are enough people like us who's willing to pay the premium... :jester:  :jester:

Everything I've read on this board suggests that DCL isn't doing promotional rates anymore - only EBS.

We got a very good early booking savings on our cruise in March, but then we booked it many months ago. We had to transfer the booking from October to March and at the time the March rate was within $20 of the rate for October.

As was mentioned, you may see the rates come down if the ship doesn't sell out as fast, but I seem to recall that spring is a popular cruising time so I don't know if I'd hold my breath waiting.

I did some pricing on RCCL recently (via their web site) - unless there are a lot of discounts out there that I don't know about (which could be the case as I didn't go searching for discounts), I was unimpressed with the rates. Basically it looked to me like we would end up paying about the same or even more for a lower quality type of cabin than we had on DCL. And even the really low end cabins were only a savings of around $500 - not enough in my mind to justify switching over. $1200 sounds like a pretty good deal.

Say it isn't so!!!!

I am so bummed.....

I was looking to get my 3 day bumped down $400 or so....now not sure that we can do it.
