Any chance soaring will be open before june1st

we hare hoping with some pixie dust that soaring will have some soft opening during our visit may 18th -june1st. It s possible to go Epcot the morning of June 1st to ride soaring then leave.....any thoughts. It is a complete bummer both soaring and big thunder will be down, during our visit...

I wouldn't count on it. Soarin is only set to open back up this summer, which summer starts June 20th. So it might not even be open anytime in June and we could be looking at July or August. So I wouldn't count on June 1st

All you can do is keep an eye out for reports of when it might re-open, but at this time I haven't seen anything beyond "summer." As it gets closer to summer there will be updates and you will be able to tell whether it'll be open or not.

Should there be a soft opening while you are in DW, again, there's no way of knowing when it will be open. A soft opening is not widely announced so it is usually a matter of being in Epcot and passing by the attraction or in this case being in The Land Pavilion when castmembers are letting people into the queue area. Sometimes during a soft opening it is only a short period of time or intermittent throughout the day so you might hear someone say they just rode Soarin, but by the time you get there, it's not open again.

There are so many variable at play, it doesn't surprise me that Disney doesn't release specific dates for this kind of thing. Say Disney announces a specific opening date, people schedule their trips around that date, and then when something goes wrong and the project cannot open on said date, they've got tons of angry guests on their hands. It behooves them to -not- announce anything specific until they're sure.

they could and should be better at finishing overlays on top of existing rides, opening new theaters, and making cosmetic changes on a predictable timeline. If they published release dates, they would be more diligent.

I think it is worse right now for everyone to guess when they think something is going to open with absolutely no information. Disney has a good idea and a target date for the attractions to open, they just aren't sharing it.

You're right people would be upset if Disney missed a posted deadline, and they should be.

I think they do it to keep attendance level. If they announced these openings, people would wait for them and the attendance would surge during that time and be lower at others. And this goes against their plan of spreading crowds out more evenly throughout the year.

I would like to plan my next DVC trip around the opening of Pandora. I have been waiting since 2011. My middle school kids are now in College. I still have absolutely no idea of the target date for the land. And we probably won't even know next February (2017). I would like as much information as possible before I plan trips that cost thousands of dollars.
