Any chance of adding guest to ADR when showing up?

Have a long-standing ADR for Beaches & Cream for 2 pp. now, we have 3 in party for that day.:headache:

Thus far, have been unable to modify it. Have the usual alerts set. I’m good with sitting out in lobby and hanging until the other two grab a quick bite. Yes, we could switch or cancel, the 3rd person heard B&C and got excited as hasn’t dined there in ages.

Realize it’s a small venue to be begin with, assume chances of getting 3 pp seated is slim to none.

wondering if anyone has ever had any success showing up for a ADR with more people and being accommodated, either here or elsewhere during a busy period?

Unless you can successfully secure an ADR for 3 people (try looking for 4 guests too), it is highly unlikely they will be able to accommodate you when you arrive but, you can always ask. The challenge with this is if you are not successful, you may be charged the 'no show' fee should you chose not to dine.

We are a family of 2 that have done many ADRs in the past and the vast majority of locations sit us at a 2 top table so it would not be possible to add a 3rd person to the table.

Given the small size of Beaches & Cream, it lowers the chances of them being able to change you to a 3/4 top.

Hope it works out for you! We often find ADRs open up the last couple of days and even hours before we wish to dine. Hope you are successful!

We have been able to add a chair or small kid every single time at other places . Occasionally it took a few extra minutes. Of course I would not try it at V&A.
An early visit to the desk or a call may be in order too.

I'd keep looking for an ADR for 3 or 4 up to the time of your ADR, especially now that no-penalty cancellation is 2 hours before. And if still no luck, I'd show up early for my ADR and ask the CM. It's good you have a Plan B -

B&C now has a long bench along one wall that allows them to move tables along it, so I think they have a little more flexibility than before in accommodating different size parties.

Good luck - please come back and tell us how it worked out!

Almost every WDW place has open tables. I'd just walk up; better yet, when you check in on the app, you'll be able to put 3 as the party size. You may have to wait a few minutes, but they'll take you.

We had to do this in January for Artist Point (had an ADR for 6 but a 7th person came last minute). I called guest services to see my options and they said that as long as its a Disney-owned restaurant they will try to accommodate the extra person.

We just had this situation for Le Cellier this past Tuesday. I had a reservation for 6, but a family friend was joining us on the trip and we wanted to add him.

About 30 minutes before the reservation, while riding the monorail to Epcot, I called Disney Dining and asked if we could modify the reservation from 6 to 7. (Note - there was zero availability showing on the app for this restaurant that night). They had no problem adding the extra adult and the restaurant was all set for us when we arrived minutes later.

No experience with that particular restaurant, but we have been successful once before at Space 220 of all places.

This was in March 2022 so it had been open around 6 months, I think. It was a multi family trip and at first it was my sister, BIL, niece, nephew and myself, DW, and DD, so 7 of us, and my parents. My mom and dad were going to do something else for dinner because she had heard that it "wasn't worth the cost" and told me not to include them when booking the ADR. Now, I have mixed feelings on the value but that's an entirely separate matter. Regardless, I think she was mostly just surprised when we actually got the reservation and then her FOMO kicked in, bigtime.

We were able to add one more to the reservation before the trip, I think because it was already for 7 so they were going to have to seat us at an 8 top. When it was time to check in I asked if they could squeeze one more in for us and after several minutes of cast members talking and looking at options they were able to do so.

I have a good friend who is a CM who insists that you can always add one person. Best bet is to try for an ADR for 4 people, there's no penalty if a party of 3 shows up.

Wow, lucky you! I have given up trying to book Space 220, just as well as the menu options don’t exactly sing to us. Still, would be nice to check it off the bucket list lol.

Definitely got lucky on that one. And not to derail the thread but I would say keep trying. DD was just shy of turning 3 on that trip but is now 5 and talks about going back to the space restaurant, so we are going to try and get it again on our next trip. It is a cool experience.

Good luck getting your add on, hope it works out for you either way, but especially in advance so it's not so nebulous.

Problem is they have tabletops for 2 only and that’s where they most likely had you….You can always call dining on the day of and ask if you can add 1, sometimes it works !!

While some folks have had the good fortune of adding an extra person late at some WDW restaurants, B&C might be the toughest of the restaurants to make that kind a late change. But it never hurts to call, check the app, or even check at the restaurant to perhaps get some pixie dust. But B&C is pretty small, has a pretty tight layout, and is also popular! Hope it works out.....

Would be nice, if not it’s ok by me too.

My family has no qualms splitting up, letting me stand outside with my face pressed against the glass while they dine.

JK, not one of my favorites TBH, I’m good sitting if out if need be.
